Singing legend Neil Young is refusing to release his back catalogue as MP3 files, claiming the format sounds "like hell".
The Southern Man hitmaker is turning to Blu-Ray disc instead - the first release being a 10 disc set covering his recordings from 1963 to 1972.
Young explains his decision to snub internet technology, "Putting on a headphone and listening to an MP3 is like hell. (I want to give people) quality whether they want it or not. You can degrade it as much as you want, we just don't want our name on it".
