Movie star Neve Campbell has a permanent reminder of her role in ballet movie THE COMPANY - a lump of calcified bone.

The actress gave up a career as a ballet star in her native Canada to chase her film dreams in Hollywood, but she got the chance to revisit her past when she was signed up to star in Robert Altman's new reality movie - all about the workings of a ballet troupe.

Campbell enjoyed every moment of reliving the dancer's life - even though parts of it left her in a lot of pain.

She explains, "Being a dancer is masochistic - you love the pain because it means you're being creative.

"I took a lot of painkillers. I broke a rib that is now a lump of calcified bone. It's my souvenir."
