Helen Boulding - Crooked Tooth

Sheffield singer Helen Boulding unveils an ethereal video for her first single of the year 'Crooked Tooth', which is set to be released on December 16th 2013 and has been taken from her 2012 album 'Calling All Angels'.

The video shows Helen seated in an embellished armchair in the middle of some woodland wearing what looks like feathers for eyelashes. Chains can be seen snaking around her wrists at the beginning before she appears to levitate like a bunch of other floating objects such as a teapot, a pocket watch and a sewing machine. This kind of pop music is largely early 2000s-sounding, with tinkling synth melodies (only appropriate for a Christmas time release) and gentle, rhythmic vocals.

Helen has been super busy over the last few months after her second album was named album of the week on Radio 2; she's been writing music for several other artists including Joe McElderry, Passenger, The Overtones and Ed Harcourt among others and had some happy news of her own keeping her occupied. 'It's been a busy year what with having another baby and writing for other artists, but I always wanted to go back to 'Crooked Tooth,' it's one of my personal favourites', she explained. 'This one was inspired by my husband Ryan, he has a slightly crooked tooth, but I love it.'
