George Bush and his wealthy buddies (John Kerry included!) do not hate black people. I would instead argue that they hate poor people, but this would be wrong as well. The fact is they love us poor people. We make them rich. They use the tools they own and created (such as ignorance, racism, consumerism, television & news media- especially Hollywood and Professional Sports) to keep us poor, ignorant, and distracted. They distract us with the shiny things and beautiful faces they sell us each day on TV. First they sell us a beautiful face and then use that face (adored the world over) to sell us useless products and unvalued ideas, and unhealthy food. And we buy it, all the time.We as Americans waste more time watching meaningless, recycled sitcoms and movies every year. We spend so much time arguing about blacks and whites, christians and muslims, republicans and democrats (which soon will be red vs. blue since we're so dumb we can only think in colors,) that we don't see them robbing us blind daily. Slight of hand is a simple trick that has worked for ages. Most average people work 40 plus hours a day in order to fill their lives with expensive, useless, and mind-numbing things that television and pretty people tell them to buy. Who profits from this? The people who maintain control in this country, and who are already filthy rich.Take Jesse Jackson, for instance. Here is a very wealthy, powerful man whose sole purpose is to free his people from oppression. He sells a very popular product, the most popular throughout time. He sells ignorance. Sure it looks like he is helping, but he isn't. He promotes racism (through ignorance)whether he admits it or not. He profits from his own race remaining ignorant (I'm not saying all black people are ignorant, but that he wants them to be.) He shows up when the media spotlight is at it's brightest, and proceeds to say some really dumb sh--. And instead of people questioning it, they BUY it. They buy it and repeat it as if it is the truest thing they ever heard, because he is the great Jesse Jackson, champion for his race. BULLSH--. WAKE UP! This is the case with most politicians as well. (I guess Jackson is basically a poitician)Rich and powerful people have no interest in you except what you are worth to them. They don't care what color you are! Only how much money they can get from your ignorant ass. They are scam artists- "practiced at the art of deception."Until people start questioning things, and thinking for themselves, this will never change. Status quo looks real nice to people in power, and they DO NOT want change. They do not want free thinkers, so they tell us what to think and what to say from birth. I used to think Kanye West was a freethinker. He has always sounded intelligent, but not this last time. Maybe someone told him what to say. Maybe someone like Jesse Jackson convinced him it was his responisibility to use that opputunity and stand up for his race. Maybe he, afterall, is just ignorant.Aren't we all?On a side note, I am a 24 year old man who has lived in New Orleans since birth. My fiancee's grandmother lost her life due to the Katrina. I have seen first hand the damage done to this city and am a part of rebuilding it. And guess what, these hurricanes knew no race. EVERYONE WAS AFFECTED. People like Jesse Jackson made this a race thing. It insults me and my friends and family to have this tragic event turned into a race issue. The hardest hit areas- Plaquemines, Empire, Port Sulphur- were small fishing communities which are a majority white. Another area near the city hit hard with 8-12 ft water - St. Bernard, again majority white. Even one of the most upscale neighborhoods in the city, Lakeview -majority white) Don't bring that race crap down here. Not right now. Racism has always been an underlying problem in the South, but i believe that the slate can be wiped and we can begin again. It seems to me that Mayor Nagin is the right man for this job. We cannot start this re-building process with hatred and racism. The Hurricane hit all of us down South, and affected the whole nation. So we must get through this together. We must work together instead of against each other. Do we love "hate" so much that racism will be a building block of the new New Orleans?

Basically, Kanye West is a well-cultured individual. Yall not gonna be arguin all this when your freedoms are gone... he knows what he talkin about... this the same man whose brother did nothing when a black man was dragged through texas like a rag doll... why would the brother who obviously doesn't care about blacks have a sibling who does? they grew up in the same household...George bush hating black people is small peas... Kanye West was only identifying an atom compared to the molecule... open your eyes--- and stop thinking the unthinkable hasn't already been thought ofwhy not wipe out a large group of blacks... who don't help the economy?now they can rebuild in New Orleans... Unfortunately, all Kanye West's comment has provided is more bickering and fighting between the people of the United States. WAKE UP. Racism is a tool used by a wealthy class to keep ignorant people ignorant. In this case, Kanye West, with good intentions I'm sure, was the tool. He said what he thinks to be true. That's all. He thinks it's true because racism is bred into us at an early age. But I'm probably wrong, so keep fighting and hating each other so that one day when your children wake up, they will have no personal freedoms, nor will they be able to think for themselves. Keep playing their game, they love you for it.

You, unlike many others, realize that the whole thing wasn't the president's fault, nor was it up to him to be the first to set it right. God bless!

Fiddy just bought himself some major political protection by sticking up for Bush...as misguided as he is. He said Katrina was an act of God. Anyone who believes in God may as well believe in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus - its all based on just as much evidence. Why do so many people need to believe of some Big Daddy in the Sky? Such nonsense.

I think that 50cent has less than 50% of his brain to agree with Bush. I understand that Katrina was an act of God but not helping all of those people was an act of Bush. The Tsunami victims got a quicker response and they are using their supply to help the Katrina victims. We the people of America need to find a way to impeach the monkey that is controlling the world. Bush is the devil that has a whole circus of followers and 50cent wants to join.

First of all, yall need to go to school and learn how the government works. ye si agree with 50, it wasn't Bush's fault for Katrina. the fact that Bush was on vacation doesn't mean s**t. People are mad at the wrong people because of their ignorance, and i say ignorance because they talk about something they don't know nothing about. Uneducated on situations at hand and mad for no reason. if you want to be mad or lash out at someone it should be the GOVERNOR down there in New Orleans. She had to give the ok to Bush for him to send people in. She was warned 4 days prior, and didn't do nothing, and she waited 4 days after to try to do something. Its her ass everyone should be mad at. Know the facts before you start blaming all the wrong people looking like n****rS-ignorant and uneducated.

first off... i wasn't dissing 50 cent's music. i love hip hop as well, and I obviously know the difference between gangsta rap and intelligent hip hop. I was referring to the fact that everybody's praising this dumb gangsta rapper for saying one damn comment. "Oh i'm going to buy your album tomm, 50!" or "finally there's someone intelligent in hip hop. thanks 50!" yeah, those comments. i love gangsta rap as much as the next guy, but don't make 50 cent out to be our newest posterchild for social awareness just because he's trying to kiss some republican ass.secondly, bush was not only on vacation when Katrina hit, but he STAYED on vacation for 3 days after. he was warned that a hurricane like Katrina would probably hit days before it even occurred. he didn't even make a statement or visit the Louisiana area until 4 long days after. whereas, with 9/11, a statement was made A DAY after it happened. so yeah, MAYBE bush really does care about black people, but it would be REALLY HARD to believe it.and sxa2283, you have a little TOO much time on your hands.

it seems that some of the people who posted comments have done the same thing that 50, Kanye and any other human being would do - speak from your perspective. be it dem or repub, black or white, rich or poor. i'm a black female from dc and i went to college in mississippi. i also consider my self a conservative (so in some folks eyes that makes me a repub). 50's comments were as unnecessary as kanye's - although i do agree with the overall sentiment of mr. west's statement - rich people (bush and his peeps) - don't care about black (poor people). kanye's statement was about the RESPONSE, not the ACT of GOD, as 50 stated. i highly doubt that kanye wanted bush to stop an act of God, however, bush's reaction to that act of God could have been a little more "timely". music aside, 50's reaction to Kanye's statement was pointless. our government has proven that it can respond accordingly in other situations, why should the events that took place in the gulf region be an exception? would 50 be singing the same tune if he'd been locked up in NY instead of shot up? nope, he'd be mad at the man, too. 50 don't try to get brownie points cause you're in the repub tax bracket now. although they wouldn't mind adding you to the diversity club, you're still a black man who sold drugs, broke the law and got shot - you should be in jail under the Rockefeller laws right now.

you people are stupid. 50 cent is the epitome of what hip hop music SHOULDN'T be. when was the last time 50 cent made a song that was even HALF as socially-aware and intelligent as ANY kanye west song?! sure, kanye west shouldn't have said what he said during a live broadcast of a Red Cross teleathon. but his outburst just shows the truth of his anger and emotion. he's a HUMAN -- he gets pissed off like the rest of us; and you call him ignorant for being angry that thousands of his people are dying and being falsely depicted on the media? stop lifting him up as this holy idol that should be a saint in the eyes of the media -- he's a human and it was in the heat of the moment. so calm the f**k down and be glad that at least SOMEBODY these days has the balls to speak out for what he believes in.

Pilgrim, any Black person who walks in lock-step with either party, Demokkkrat OR Republikkkan (to stretch a point) is a "kool-aid drinker." Zombie behavior isn't the province of any one ethnicity, party, religion, etc. I will submit, however, that the neo-conservative movement within the Republican party today represents values that are antithetical to traditional and historical Republican values. Barry Goldwater wouldn't recognize these cadres as anything even approaching Republican. If the party is going to survive it needs to cast out the neocons, and true Republicans need to halt the party's march down the road toward fascism. And I don't use that term lightly or off the cuff. I mean it. Oh, and I'm not a Democrat.

WHATEVAHOMEBOY,I feel your pain ... I was a kool-aid drinking, hoodwrinked, Demokkkrat house negro ... waiting for great white liberal massa to set me free. Whatever made white liberal massa angry made me angry ... any negro that talked agin the great white liberal massa was an uncle Tom and not a good negro. I was firmly on the Demokkkratic party's urban plantation called the ghetto in any Demokkkratic controlled city USA. Massa told me free thinking negroes was a dangerous thing. The white liberal Demokkkrats had me in a prison cell and I didn't want to escape ... But one day, around 1981 I started reading about the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's. I was young during the early `60's and the 20th anniversity of the passage of the bill was coming in 1982. What I read about the `50's and `60's shocked me because black folks were fighting against Demokkkratic politicians. What? I thought ... I just assumed ... that the fight was with Republican politicians. I had no idea of the true level of racism in this country and asked how did such a racist country ever get the moral strength to free us. So I started reading about the country during the Civil War era and was shocked to see how the Demokkkrats fought against our being set free. How the Demokkkrats used racism to become the dominate political party in America. How the Demokkkratic party used European immigrants to knock the freed black slave off the lower rung of the ecomonic ladder while we were transforming from slave to free. How that historical action of the Demokkkratic party has placed us in a permanent disadvantage we will never overcome. The damage to us from this Demokkkratic policy makes efforts like Affirmation Action akind to throwing a bucket of water on a ten alarm fire ... too little too late. Now, the Demokkkrats have transformed themselves into our guardians ... our patron saints. It's just that, since becoming Demokkkrats our condition is worst today than it was during the 1940's when we crossed over to the Demokkkrats.Republicans never wanted us to become dependent on them. The black college system of the Jim Crow racist Demokkkratic South ... paid for by wealthy Republicans because the Demokkkkrats would take our tax dollars and build up their Southern colleges but we couldn't attend. WHATEVAHOMEBOY, what the demokkkrats have done to us and are doing to us makes me extremely mad ... but just a few 24 hours ago I was a kool-aid drinker and when I met a black Republican, which didn't happen very often, I was just like GEORGEWNIXON ... only worst ... believe me ... GEORGEWNIXON is mild compared to me ... when I met a black Republican.Today I it is mission to expose the true racist in America ... read the terrible history of the Demokkkratic party in regards to the history of race relations in America. I believed in Malcolm X when I was young, he would never allow himself to be used as a pawn to advance anyone elses adgenda ... today we black folks are the puppets of the Demokkkratic party and hate whatever they tell us to hate, like whatever they tell us to like ... repeat phrases they tell us to parrot "NeoCon ... Neocon ... NeoCon" like good loyal children wanting and needing the great white daddy's love. But, we are mad that George Bush doesn't help us ... help me ... help me ... With Demokkkrats in our corner, for more than fifty years, why do we need help so badly? And, why would we have to look to others for that help when we got the Demokkkrats LOVING us? Why don't they help us?!?!However, I will bet you this ... when and if GEORGEWNIXON has his eyes opened to the truth he will fully understand my "black rage" ... because it would be his rage, too.

If Kanye West and others are looking for someone to bash in the context of reaction to Katrina, they need look no further than Louisiana officials, specifically Mayor Nagin and Kathleen Blanco. Local and state authorities are the first line of defense in ANY disaster and they clearly dropped the ball. The Red Cross, FEMA and the Salvation Army had supplies deposited throughout the state of Louisiana, waiting for the storm to pass so the business of rescue and recover could begin. Louisiana officials TURNED them away because they didn't want people to get "comfortable" in the stadium and view it as a refuge whilst they were dying. Blanco was begged to give the federal government the reins in the aftermath of Katrina when it was clear the state's resources were inadequate. She said, as people were dying all around, that she had to think about it for 24 hours, after which she refused. She didn't even activate all those military reserve units at her disposal for days. One look at the buses, buses which could have carted off tens of thousands of N'Orleans residents, covered in water, ruined, tells all that needs told. Louisiana state officials FAILED their constituents. Remarkably so. There was nothing racist in what happened. It was incompetence, not racism. There was nothing racist in the federal government's response. They can only do that which state governments allow them to do, and in this instance, Louisiana state officials didn't let them do much.I've read some comments asking where 50 cent was in Katrina's aftermath, as though he failed some test of worthiness because he didn't rush to N'Orleans to be turned away as were the Red Cross, FEMA and the Salvation Army. In turn, I ask you this...where was Kanye? Where were Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan (sp?) and other alleged civil rights "leaders?" They found the time to plant their carcasses in front of cameras to yell "RACISM" for the world to hear, but none of them found the time to use their wealth and resources to find a boat and head to N'Orleans to rescue people as you seem to think 50 cent should have done.Someone asked "What have Republicans done for you lately?" To you, I would ask, what have Democrats done for you except to take you and your votes for granted, fomenting government dependency rather than self-sufficiency, ridiculing those blacks who dare have a different ideology, and always telling the black race that they'll never be good enough to keep up with everyone else because of the color of their skin?

I have to agree with whatevahomeboy. Black people need to wake up and realize that the Democratic Party is not on their side. Wolves in sheeps clothing is what some of those in the Democratic party are. One of the first reasons that many blacks turned Democrats (which I can understand) was due to President Johnson's passing of the Civil Rights Legislation (Which in my opinion besides Lincoln Johnson has done MORE for the black people than any other president but no one ever mentions him-) Many of the Democrats, who were basically the anti- Lincoln party, changed parties after that. And Whatevahomeboy hit the nail on the head. What has Jesse and AL done for black people worth anything? They are suppose to represent us? Jesse is only riding on the coat tail of being around Martin Luther King. What changes has he made for hundreds of welfare mothers and children without fathers except for going on TV and getting some good sound bites in? AL Sharpton has become a movie star now---It's pathetic . We need some real black leaders that aren't afraid to tell us where we are going wrong as a group. Jesse does not speak for me, either does Kanye west. Kanye an intellectual? - Note to Kanye: An intellectual is not defined by his argyle socks and V-neck sweater. GEORGE BUSH DOES CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE. He has given millions to historically black colleges honored many black people by recognizing them at the white house. But then again how would you haters know? You don't read the news, you only look at the pictures in the funny papers. Get A LIFE.

I understand wanting to sell CD's and all but the sad thing with him is that he really t hinks he being "socially responsible" buy making foolish comments. It took alot of balls for 50 to say something anti-Kanye with K being the sh*t right now.The country never experienced a hurricane the magnitude of Katrina and to blame the President for not responding is crazy. Were there inefficienceies in the processs? Yes. Were they intentionally put there or extracted because "Bush doesn't like Black people." Had the response been EXACTLY the same under A Dem Administration, there would have been all types of laurels and accolades placed o the Dem Administration by the media.

Sit down, get a glass of kool-aid and ponder these facts. From the mid 1940's until the early 1990's the Democratic party has been the dominant political party. From time to time there would be a Republican president but the other two branches of government were solid Democrat. If the Democratic party has been the majority party in America for so long, if that party has held political power in this country for fifty solid years, how come the country is in such peril? Why didn't they fix all our problems? What were they waiting for?It appears to me that the left-winger brain, if there is such a thing, is plugged into a super-brain that tells them what to think, believe, fear, parrot. But this brain doesn't have access to facts so they never back up their charge with logic or reason, just pure emotion. "I believe it because I feel it ... I feel it." Okay ... you feel Bush is Satan and a hater of all human life on Earth and he controls the weather through Haliburton ... to ... to make war ... with false intelligence ... Bush lied ... boys died ... Wait ... if Bush took us to war with intelligence he manufactured ... why did the Democrats vote to give him the power to go to war? Wait ... if Bush took the country to war with fake intelligence then there should be a record of intelligence that differed from the intelligence Bush used because the Senate Intelligence Committee and similar committees in the House of Representatives would have several years of comflicting intelligence that Bush used to justify his request for war powers from the Congress. But, no Democrat, when they say Bush lied about government intelligence, intelligence that all government leaders in the White House, the Senate and the House of Reps all share that suggest Bush lied. It should be easy to show the world that Bush lied ... other than saying he lied. Okay ... lets say the Democrats then start saying that Bush went into all the computers and files cabinets in Washington and changed every document and data source relative to our intelligence on WMD's in Iraq. Okay ... okay ... but many buildings have security cameras ... show me the film of Bush sneaking in the building during wee hours of the night doing the deed. Okay, forget all that and start chanting "The Neo-Con's are coming."

I meant to write "Planned Parenthood." That great Democrat Margaret Sangar sure loved us black folk. The Democrats even use lingo from our Civil Rights Movement to us killing ourselves in the womb: "A Women's Reproductive Rights."Hey, I think this is where the Democrats the idea how to use our black ministers like Jesse Jackson and Al (I can't accept no cocaine unless my mob massa say it's okay ... what ... he sold me to the Democrats! ... I ain't never gonna git off the donkey) Sharpton to lead us into the Gas Chambers ... drinking kool-aid and crying because the Republicans don't love us ... I know ... I know ... I'm an uncle Tom!Pour a big glass of Grape kool-aid and read this:..."It was in 1939 that Sanger's larger vision for dealing with the reproductive practices of black Americans emerged. After the January 1939 merger of her Clinical Research Bureau and the ABCL to form the Birth Control Federation of America, Dr. Clarence J. Gamble was selected to become the BCFA regional director for the South. Dr. Gamble, of the soap-manufacturing Procter and Gamble company, was no newcomer to Sanger's organization. He had previously served as director at large to the predecessor ABCL.Gamble lost no time and drew up a memorandum in November 1939 entitled "Suggestion for Negro Project." Acknowledging that black leaders might regard birth control as an extermination plot, he suggested that black leaders be place in positions where it would appear that they were in chargeÑas it was at an Atlanta conference. It is evident from the rest of the memo that Gamble conceived the project almost as a traveling road show. A charismatic black minister was to start a revival, with "contributions" to come from other local cooperating ministers. A "colored nurse" would follow, supported by a subsidized "colored doctor." Gamble even suggested that music might be a useful lure to bring the prospects to a meeting.Sanger answered Gamble on Dec. 10. 1939, agreeing with the assessment. She wrote: "We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten that idea out if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." In 1940, money for two "Negro Project" demonstration programs in southern states was donated by advertising magnate Albert D. Lasker and his wife, Mary. Birth control was presented both as an economic betterment vehicle and as a health measure that could lower the incidence of infant mortality. At the 1942 BCFA annual meeting, BCFA Negro Council board member Dr. Dorothy B. Ferebee–a cum laude graduate of Tufts and also president of Alpha Kappa Alpha, the nation's largest black sorority–addressed the delegates regarding Planned Parenthood's minority outreach efforts : With the Negro group some of the most difficult obstacles . . . to overcome are: (1) the concept that when birth control is proposed to them, it is motivated by a clever bit of machination to persuade them to commit race suicide; (2) the so-called "husband rejection" . . . (3) the fact that birth control is confused with abortion, and (4) the belief that is inherently immoral. However, as formidable as these objections may seem, when thrown against the total picture of the awareness on the part of the Negro leaders of the improved condition under Planned Parenthood, or the genuine interest and eagerness of the families themselves to secure the services which will give them a fair chance for health and happiness, the obstacles to the program are greatly outweighed.Birth control as an economic improvement measure had some appeal to those lowest on the income ladder. In the black Chicago Defender for Jan. 10, 1942, a long three-column women's interest article discussed the endorsement of the Sanger program by prominent black women. There were at lease six express references, such as the following example, to birth control as a remedy for economic woes:" . . . it raises the standard of living by enabling parents to adjust the family size to the family income." Readers were also told that birth control" . . . is no operation. It is no abortion. Abortion kills life after it has begun. . . Birth Control is neither harmful nor immoral."But the moral stumbling block could only be surmounted by Afro-American religious leaders, so black ministers were solicited. Florence Rose, long-time Sanger secretary, prepared an activities report during March 1942 detailing the progress of the "Negro Project." She recounted a recent meeting with a Planned Parenthood Negro Division board member, Bishop David H. Sims (African Methodist Episcopal Church), who appreciated Planned Parenthood's recognition of the extent of black opposition to birth control and its efforts to build up support among black leaders. He offered whatever assistance he could give.Bishop Sims offered to begin the "softening process" among the representatives of different Negro denominations attending the monthly meetings of the Federal Council of Churches and its Division of Race Relations. These and other efforts paid off handsomely after World War II. By 1949, virtually the entire black leadership network of religious, social, professional, and academic organizations had endorsed Planned Parenthood's program."...Above passage taken from:http://blackgenocide.org/sanger02.htmlhttp://blackgenocide.org/sanger03.html Below, is an article written by a black woman, I'm sure a Democrat, suggesting that Margaret Sanger was a racist, but a good racist, who just happened to publish tons of racist articles in Planned Parenthood's journals. Although Margaret Sanger's publicly stated end, the extermination of the black race in America, was ignoble, the means, providing access to cheap abortions for black women, was good ... and the Grape kool-aid? An added bonus! http://www.womensenews.org/article.cfm/dyn/aid/618..."For all her positive influence, I see Sanger as a tarnished heroine whose embrace of the eugenics movement showed racial insensitivity, at best. From her associates, as well as from some of the articles that were published in Sanger's magazine, The Birth Control Review, it is possible to conclude that "racially insensitive" is too mild a description. Indeed, some of her statements, taken in or out of context, are simply racist. And she never rebuked eugenicists who believed in improving the hereditary qualities of a race or breed by controlling mating in order to eliminate "undesirable" characteristics and promote "desirable" traits. Sanger: We Must Limit the Over-Fertility of Mentally, Physically Defective"Our failure to segregate morons who are increasing and multiplying ... demonstrates our foolhardy and extravagant sentimentalism," she wrote in the recently republished "The Pivot of Civilization." This book, written in 1922, was published at a time when scientific racism had been used to assert black inferiority. Who determines who is a moron? How would these morons be segregated? The ramifications of such statements are bone-chilling. In a 1921 article in the Birth Control Review, Sanger wrote, "The most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective." Reviewers of one of her 1919 articles interpreted her objectives as "More children from the fit, less from the unfit." Again, the question of who decides fitness is important, and it was an issue that Sanger only partly addressed. "The undeniably feebleminded should, indeed, not only be discouraged but prevented from propagating their kind," she wrote."...

Whatever happens between 50 Cent and Ja Rule? I suppose it is true the white liberal Democrat love us and the white conservative Republican hate us. Why? Because we black Americans to this day live in Democrat controlled areas of the country. Areas of the country long under historical Democratic party control. And every area that the black American lives today and/or lived years ago, also, has a long, long history if economic depression and a long history of racism. And, the areas we live in today are worst today than they were ten years ago and worst ten years ago than they were twenty years ago. These areas continue to get worst. While we continue to vote 90% Democratic and believe the Republicans hate us because they have not made the poor conditions created by Democrats better. When our historical condition is discussed in the body-politic the liberal Democrat, who controls the areas we live, feed us the line that the Republicans created the urban wastelands. Could it be that the liberal Democrat need us to stay right where we in order to exploit us and steal our political power, our votes. Kanye is deceived and his words only work to keep our people in the dark. His words will keep our people at the back of the Democratic bus. Or, floating down the Mississippi River with bloated bellies and popped eyes. The Democratic party created the condition that caused Rosa Parks to do what she did in 1955. In the Democratic controlled South, we lived through Jim Crow and thousands of our people were lynched so the Democrats could enjoy political power at our expense. They called us "strange fruit" hanging from trees. In the Democratic controlled cities of the North that our people fled to escape the Democratic South, our people were pushed into ghettos while the police kept us contained. In just about every northern city from 1900 to 1940 there were "white race riots" where mobs attacked our black brothers and sisters who they caught on the street and lynched them, so the Democratic party could enjoy political power at our expense. Today, the Democratic party throws around "their" history of racism to attack the Republican party when it was the Democrats that created, exploited and fed off the hatred of our people that party fostered.I was once a young black liberal kool-aid drinking Democrat ... until I accidentally started reading the history of the great Democratic "Nazi" party. That party has negatively effected the life of every black American in the past, the present and the future ... and we vote to give them power over us so that these white liberal demons can help us escape the conditions Democrats created ... so these white demons should grab raw political power. Purchased by the lives of our people have who continue to die ... in New Orleans ... waiting for the Democrats to make the Republicans come take us to safety ... on buses ... that the Democrats wouldn't let come. But, ever now, our kool-aid drinking brothers look to Democrats to relieve the racist conditions they exploit at every opportunity. Democrats were praying that more of us died in New Orleans ... so they could say Bush killed us ... But, when the numbers didn't pile up the Democrats moved on to another exploitation ... however, many of us did die needlessly in Democratic New Orleans and what are the Democrats proposing to correct the situation that has existed for generations in New Orleans? Nothing! Why? The kool-aid drinkers will swallow any lie the white liberal tells them. So there is no more political need for Democrats to do anything ... we their punks, bitches and ho's. But the Democrats still needed more of us to die ... waiting ... for George Bush ... not them ... In the Chicago summer of 1995, starting July 13, a heat wave overtook the city and the American midwest. 739 people died from the heat, mostly elderly black Chicagoans to afraid to open a window. In total over 1000 died in all areas ... while Clinton played golf. It took Clinton two weeks to talk about the situation after his advisor urged him. Jesse Jackson, from Chicago, said nothing, Oprah, from Chicago, said nothing. Kanye, from Chicago sweating, hadn't started rapping, yet. Democrats who controlled the city said the city morgue was getting too crowded ... just like in New Orleans. Similar to what 50 Cent said, the media mentioned the mounting deaths in passing, "the tragic events in Chicago continue taking lives due to the heat wave caused by nature and the summer ... no end in sight." Now, what if Bush had been president at that time. How would the Democrats have played our deaths? How would the black entertainers and rappers have played our deaths? How would the media have played our deaths? Open your eyes, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are paid millions by the Democrats to lead us into the gas chambers. It is a hustle. If everyone around you believes a lie, does that make the lie true? We black people are lead by groupthink, if everyone believes something we don't want to be the outsider and think differently ... we fall in line and accept the lie to be one with the group ... but there is a time we must think for ourselves and stop allowing ourselves to be played for fools. I know ... I know ... I don't drink kool-aid, therefore, I'm an uncle Tom!Read about the great liberal Democrat Margaret Sanger. Do I Google search. She created Planned Adulthood and loved us black folk to death. Be careful to read her history before the 1970's when the Democrats cleaned her up. Web sites about Margaret Sanger created after the 1970's are for kool-aid drinkers only. Here's one interesting site: http://blackgenocide.org/sanger.html

GEORGEWNIXON,Changing the subject with pointless insults doesn't hide the fact that you were wrong about the school buses. I always think for myself. I also take responsibility for myself, something you seem to push to the sides with your racial blame game.Governors have the right to complain, doesn't make them right. FEMA has been active with three major hurricanes in a very short period of time, along with severe flooding in New England. It is not a Federal agency with boundless resources. If you had posted the entire message rather than just the first part, you would find that FEMA has not received any evidence of eviction problems from the Texas Apartment Association or the endangered evictees. They can't act if there is no problem or they are not made aware of any problem. Also FEMA is subject to Federal privacy laws which restrict the sharing of information concerning offenders unless they receive a specific request from law enforcement. It sounds to me that FEMA is doing the best they can with stretched resources and Texas is complaining about things that they themselves could improve their own responses to by first not exagerating claims that apparently don't exist and second by making the appropirate requests to FEMA as required by existing laws.

Stop carying around bush's nasty, stinky jockstrap and think for yourself.Texas Governor Decries FEMA's InactionNov 02 10:13 AM US/EasternBy SHEILA FLYNNAssociated Press WriterDALLASGov. Rick Perry railed against the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Tuesday, saying its inaction is putting tens of thousands of hurricane victims at risk of getting evicted and preventing law enforcement from knowing which of the evacuees are dangerous criminals. In a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, who oversees FEMA and was visiting the state Tuesday, the Republican governor also accused the agency of treating Texas hurricane victims differently from Louisiana residents affected by Hurricane Rita. "Natural disasters recognize no state boundaries, and neither should FEMA," Perry wrote. "Texas is willing to work and do our part, but FEMA has to sit down and come up with a long-term, thoughtful plan." Speaking at a news conference in El Paso late Tuesday, Chertoff said he had not seen the letter, but he praised Texas' response after hurricanes Katrina and Rita...........................http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/11/02/D8DKDFHG2.html

GEORGEWNIXON,Your link amounts to nothing concerning the evacuation. Evacuations occur prior to the hurricane striking, not after. After it becomes a rescue operation. FEMA cannot do anything until it receives specific requests from the local government. Your link quotes comments made by Blanco, another individual who failed her responsibilities trying to pass the buck on FEMA actions AFTER the hurricane struck. The evacuation plan created by the City of New Orleans along with the State government called for the evacuation to begin 5 days prior to the hurricane strike. THIS IS WHEN THE SCHOOL BUSES SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED. It calls for their use right in the plan. Bush appologized because unlike Nagin and Blanco, he is willing to accept responsibility. That's what LEADERS do.

It is very interesting how once some black people(Kanye West) get "$$on top$$" they preach to those who are not that the "white man"(George Bush)hates blacks and doesn't want them to succeed. Yet by definition of their success, they didn't adhere to the crap they preach. They become "elitists"... Good Morning EveryoneI'm in awe of the existing denial people of our society have (racism does exist) and the ever present twist by the press/media. First off, everyone has a right to express themsleves, in reality Bush is not looking @ Kayne West or 50cent any differently. Black/Whte or other, for those of us not in his circle we are just bleeps on the radar. And if he sends americans to fight and die, what makes anyone else think that he truly cares here, New Orleans, middle east, people get a grip. And if this is the best the media can do to promote indifference in my African-American culture, how weak. You actually hold the opioions of RAPPERS (entertainers) as benchmarks while avoiding real news issues, like the next Supreme Court candidate, Aids, Breast Cancer, Voting. May I suggest that we take a higher platform , use these vehicles to promote a better contoversy, a worth while cause.

Bill Clinton also was credited with having the first Surplus ... but what most people do not know is that the Surplus was merely on paper and was there because the numbered were presented using methodology not very trusted. There really wasn't a Surplus. Also people assaulted Bush when they found out he was issuing $300 refunds. Many people did not know this was the idea of DNC Chairman Terry MCCaullife. The DNC stood silent as the GOP was assailed over this.Look at facts not HYPE, which is what most people listen too.Bush isn't perfect, but the GOP is the only party that really has tried to lift Blacks heads up higher, trying to get them out of this crazy beleif the Democrats will take care of you. That is bullcrap, they only want power. That is why more Hispanics are voting GOP - they smell the DNC's true agenda - to continue enslaving Blacks in this Entitlement Attitude.Bush has put Minorities in very Senior Prositions, like Condi Rice ... but some of you won't give real Black talent a chance, you say it's a cop-out or call someone an Uncle Tom. Forget you - you are the NEGATIVE AMERICA!50 Cents has bigger balls than Kayne West will ever have, and Kaynes racist remarks are simply that - the voice of a racist.

Thank you derk18. Everyone is so quick to jump on 50's bandwagon. Clinton, a democrat, got this nation to its lowest unemployment rate and welfare rate, while Bush on the other hand, has all our soldiers dying for something to impress his father, talking about fighting for "freedom". Well it ain't ours. He's so busy trying to help other countries, he is neglecting his own. If people want to know why so many blacks vote democrat, look at the past two presidents. And for him to say that Kanye got to the top because of him is definitely bulls**t. Kanye was out way before him, doing tracks for others. 50 just wants the "white man" to see him in this gunfight he calls a movie. You're quick to say he's smart for sayig what he believes, where was he after the hurricane. I ain't see him doing no benefit concerts. Kanye did the same as 50--said what he felt. And if any of ya'll spend money on 50, you deserve what you get--a bunch of nothing.

It is too bad that 50cent has agreed to become Bush's field negro(boy). But what do you expect from an individual who agrees to be half a man and not a whole man, better known as a boy. With that said, this is nothing but an attempt to take away from the true discussion that needs to be had concerning Hurricane Katrina and the inaction on the part of the Federal Gov't to minimize the loss of life. African-American Life. 50 or should I say boy, do you remeber who you are and where you are from? Billions upon billions spent in a land that doesn't want us there, while we live in these ghettos in abject poverty listening to your enless rants about hoes, bling, and everything under the sun that God despises. And you have the audacity to even speak of God. God is truth, Kanye spoke the truth. And if you know anything about God, then you know that ye shall speak the truth and the truth shall set you free. sorry, I just had to add some more comments since I cannot believe that the mojority of black America would agree with any of what you all are saying and that really is the point. First of all while Republicans did free the slaves, as Janet Jackson has said...what have you done for us latley. Oh thats right trent Lott & Strom Thurmond. Hmmmm, maybe thats why we vote Democrat. And as far as 50 being an intelegent voice in Hip-Hop. GET REAL!!!! Ummm how many weeks after the fact did he have something to say. If he felt so strongly, why wasnt he at the fundraisers, why wasnt he speaking out then? This is the same man who said Kanye's success was because of him, nearly 6 months after the second album debuted. This is also the person who says Kanye is wrong neearly two months after he said, but just a week before his new movie comes out. Please, yall are so anxcious for an African American to agree with you that you will take anything. Its disturbing that people who, by their own admission have never heard a 50 cent album, but are willing to call him an intelegent voice in Hip-Hop!! And as for being a mouthpiece for the democratic party, what are you smoking, wasnt it you and the other Bible thumping republicans who were praising Kanye West for his willingness to praise Jesus in a rap song, hmmmm? Ohh forgot about that, I imagine with all of your focus on the ongoing changes in hip hop you must have forgotten about that. Guess you missed his award winning song Jesus Walks being featured in "Jarhead: the new movie about our soldiers in Iraq. Seriously, Im not Hip-hop guru, but some of ya'll are just embarassing yourself. So desperate for a credible black voice that you will support 50 cent! Maybe we don't know our history, but you all damn sure don't know ours

How can 50 come out and publicly make those statements, if not only to get more publicity for his movie, 'cause Lord knows his album didn't do too good. If he disagrees with Kanye, fine. But if he made this comment for publicity, keep it to yourself. I personally agree with Kanye, to an extent. And I'm so sick of people saying Blacks go with the majority as if we don't have minds of our own and don't see what's going on. Yes, I am democrat, but compared to Clinton, Bush has driven this country into the deepest debt and the most unnecessary war. If some of those servicemen from that area were there, maybe there may have been a better chance to stop some unnecessary deaths from Katrina.

To bushbot Ron Weasley:Weezy says: Is it fair to say you completely concede all points related to the original discussion? After all, every single point you made was shot down by one and often several posters, and you did not respond.Okay Weezy, you put up a lot of blather, but not you or any of your party loving faithful has answered as to why bush apologized to the nation regarding Katrina? If I've been shot down as you say, you or no one else has explained the apology. I mean if everybody else is to blame, why is bush apologizing? When I respond to posters about a particular topic, I usually back it up with a credible link. Now you say that I was supposedly shot down because someone comes here, gives there opinion with nothing but YOU to back it up. It's also amazing how you cretins get here by way of reich wing drudge, to hug the left nut of gansta rapper 50 cent. To Normalguy:Normal, my feeling is that real estate is the worst investment a man making illicit profits can invest in. That is one of the first things that law enforcement will look at in terms of a money trail. I do preach real estate investment through a trusted individual (every family has an egghead in it) so that the money investment is feasible. Invest in others who are trusted and that the money trail can't prosecute. I know that what I'm saying may be illegal and immoral, but these are also the underpinnings for our country also. All I know is that the unconventional message is revered by those that I've talked to and have been put to use.

To Mr. Normal Guy:The message that I give within my community are basically for a generation of young men whom society has already cast aside. When I got out of high school in the mid 70's a young Black man could get a job at someplace like Ford or in the Steel mill and support s family. Those days are gone and you need at least a BA to get some type of foothold on a good job. But the employee market for good jobs is so competitive, a person with a felony conviction has almost zero chance of landing a decent job in todays society. Those are the people that I suggest they make their money by whatever means it takes, but to do something with the money other then buying the bling bling and cars. I also mentioned that they should invest in their families. By doing this, they will lay the foundation for their children to break the vicious cycle of drugs, death and jail. Education is the key and it has to start somewhere. I'm just telling the young Black man the way it is and that if he doesn't want to invest in his family and look out for his children, then the white man will do it for him. Then I show them some of the replies I get on various forums to show that the white man has no interest at all in rearing his children through government entitlement programs. Besides, all walks of life from all societies use drugs today, not just the ghetto zombies. Make your money and do something wise with it.

To Mr. Normalguy:I appreciate the fact that you or anyone in your immediate circle not a racist, but that in no way reduces you from being white. The power in America today is an entrenched power that has been handed down from generation to generation. You and yours aren't in that entrenched power because you haven't been here long enough. With entrenched power, you have inbred racism. I personally don't hate anyone, I just take each person on an individual basis. I can converse with anybody on the planet, express my views in a coherent manner, and PRESTO.....I'M ACCEPTED. But the Black who doesn't have the liguistic skills of a billy goat, although he may be pure of heart, will not be accepted by anyone but those in his immediate community. It's a problem that is directly corellated to the scougre of drugs in the 70's and 80's. The DEA, FBI, and local police purposely turned a blind eye to the influx of powedered cocaine during that time so that they could supposedly catch the overseas kingpin behind the cocaine. Meanwhile that influx of cheap cocaine created a nation of zombies. Trafficking, death and incarceration were the code of the 'hood and it basically rooted out a generation of fathers. I agree with another poster who surmised that the breakdown of the family unit is at the core of Blacks ails today. But that same poster failed to touch on how it came to be. I'm filling in those blanks by telling you that the WHITE MAN, who is in charge of the DEA, CIA, FBI and basically law enforcement in America, allowed drugs to permeate Black society to set up its disenfranchisement. Now when the same problem reared its head in the form of bootlegging during prohibition, what did the white man do? I'll tell you: he abolished prohibition and made alcohol legal. Do you know why he did this? It's because The white race was savaging itself in the same manner that Blacks are savaging themselves today. But you won't see the governement federalize drugs and take the violence and incarceration out of the game because it doesn't affect the white community the way it does the Black community. But then you'll say "why don't Blacks just get a job" It's because drugs is a far more lucrative trade then getting a minimum wage job. The white mans republican party won't even raise the minimum wage, but they'll whore for tax cuts so that the rich man will trickle it down to the poor. That doesn't happen because the rich white man would rather invest those tax cuts in franchising overseas (because of cheap labor of course) and offshore accounts. Congress won't enact penalties for this type of behaviour, so it just goes on and on. I preach a different message to the 'hood and that message is to MAKE YOUR MONEY MAN..............BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, AND THEN INVEST THAT MONEY INTO LEGITIMATE HOLDINGS. DIVERSIFY SO THERE'S NO MONEY TRAIL, BE THERE FOR YOUR FAMILY AND GET YOUR PIECE OF THE PIE. THEN, YOU'LL BE ACCEPTED. If drugs is the only thing that the white man will let you have, make them work for you and not against you.

To GEORGEWNIXONBeing educated hasn't prevented you from remaining an ignorant racist. People of today can do or be anything they want. If you believe that white people have some mass conspiracy to keep people of color down you sir are a lunatic. I am a white man who was born poor to a single mother. I was raised in a trailer park where a good meal was a bowl of soup. Drugs, alcohol and violence were rampant. Today I live in a middle class neighborhood and work in the IT filed making almost 6 figures. I accomplished this by myself. I never received affirmative action although my situation should have warranted it. My parents never gave me a dime to further my education. My point is this is a free country where you are responsible for your own accomplishments or failures. Had I been a “minority”, I would have had much greater resources available to me to better myself through affirmative action education and hiring practices. Don’t come crying to me about whitey keeping you down. Bush may have been slow to respond to Katrina and I do fault him for that. But the black mayor of New Orleans had over 100 school buses 1.2 miles from the Superdome he could have used to properly evacuate. The female Governor of the state could have ordered the Guard into the city the day after the storm. The state Guard was under her control not the Presidents. Wake up to reality and get a real education.

If by "sexual prowess" you are referring to "horrifying rates of STDs" then I bow to your prowess, sir. I think that -- second only to the democratic party's War on black economic advancement and intentional de-emphasis of the black family -- black culture's emphasis on pointless bragadacio is really causing a cultural illness that will only lead to the same ends that Democratic party values have created for blacks, i.e., poverty, crime, STDs. "Once you go black, you never go back," is sadly true, because once you catch herpes, you are loathe to go back to your ex. This is truly the cry of he who is spreading disease of mind and body to the masses.

How many parents take an active interest in their kids education? That's the problem, and it's not just a black problem, either.I'd suggest that everyone quit supporting a culture that glorifys 'thugs and niggas' in their music, art, and lifestyle? To mr. normalguy:How did your family get here from Europe? Was it in chains? My people were disenfranchised from this country for hundreds of years. Now the white man wants to say "well you've had your civil rights for the past 40 years, why haven't you succeeded as a race" As if 40 years is supposed to compensate for the other 400 that saw Blacks live under the brutal oppression of segregation. I'm talking about generation after generation that passed along ignorance and inefficiency to its children. We were counted as three fifths of a human at the voting polls and it was a crime for Blacks to know how to read or write. But the white man will say, "that wasn't me, that was my ancestors" Well it was my ancestors too. We had a chance in the 60's but you killed off our leaders and infested our neighborhoods with drugs. Crack cocaine is the major player in the urban neighborhood today, but how did cocaine get there if there are no cocoa plants in America? I'm an older guy who's lived through the lens of segregation and I'm here to tell you that racism does indeed exist in todays America. As you can probably tell from my prose, I'm fairly educated also which is the white mans worst nightmare, because I won't pour sand on the ground and shuffle for your entertainment. In the urban community, I'm like a God because I speak it like it should be spoken. Until I get my 40 acres and a mule, I'll hold America upside down and shake its conscience.

I'll give Powell some credit though because he's at least been willing to return to impoversihed communities to speak a message of breaking the mold. He's also returned to the urban communities to create workshops that help those less fortunate aim for the stars. Basicaly, bush and the republican party as a whole are a bunch of klansmen wearing seersucker suits. Following is the southern strategy as mentioned by its crafter Lee At**ter:"Bob Herbert reported in the October 6, 2005 edition of the New York Times of a 1981 interview with Lee At**ter in which he explains the GOP's Southern Strategy: "You start out in 1954 by saying, 'n****r, n****r, n****r.' By 1968 you can't say 'n****r' - that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites."And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me - because obviously sitting around saying, 'We want to cut this,' is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than 'n****r, n****r.' " [1]"

To bushbot and redneck, rich:I don't care whether you want us here or not, we's here and we's stayin here, and there's nothin your punk ass can do about it. You've lived off Black peoples backs for the past 400 years. The real reason you don't want me here is because the black man is the greatest shagger on the planet. The term "once you go black, you never go back" is the national anthem of the white woman, and it burns the white mans soul to know that this is true. I bet you cringe every time you see a brother with one of your white babes because you know that there's nothing you can do to get her back. Out of all the races in these states, the black man is most ostracized because of the length of his schwanz. If the asians or any other minority had the biggus dickus syndrome, they too would be ostracized as Blacks are. That in my estimation is the root of the whole problem of race relations between blacks and whites. You can't outdo us in the bedroom so you'll cripple us in the financial world. That's okay because we get back at you by enslaving the white woman.

GEORGEWNIXON Bro if you check the fact you will find out Bush allocated federal 2 days funds BEFORE the storm hit. Fema is not responsible for evacuating people before a disaster. Evacuations are the responsibilities of the local government; they know the neighborhoods and local terrain. Face it the corrupt mayor and governor failed the people who they represent. The same government despite millions in federal funds kept the people down with welfare and no work programs. Keep listening to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Ferrican, and you may as well be following around a good old boy in a white sheet and hood

To: GEORGEWNIXONObviously you just skimmed the article you referred to about the buses and how the director of FEMA said he wanted to use commercial buses vs school buses. What you are referring to is the use of buses to evacuate people out after the hurricane hit. This quote about it could have been the same day is BS. Why didn't Nagin get those people out BEFORE the hurricane hit and why didn't Blanco intervene when she saw Nagin was sitting on his hands doing nothing. The reason New Orleans has one of the poorest populations in the country and why it is so corrupt is because the Democrats have been running things down there for 60+ years and running them into the ground. You want to see what happens when liberal policies are put into place and the results of them. Look at New Orleans before the hurricane hit and the Cluster F*ck that took place at the state and local level (which is the first line of action when a natural disaster is iminent) when Katrina was on its way. This entitlement mentallity that the left has fostered makes me sick and should make any hard-working American sick as well. We still have evacuees in the shelters here in San Antonio, the majority of which are leaching off of the system for as long as they can.Pull your head out and take a deep breath. It will clear that bong resin out of your hippy skull.

pullurheadout's picture

Are you nuts? Your link to what?Fema's role is not to evacuate, FEMA's role is to help AFTER and only once it has been authorized by the federal government. The President repeatedly asked The governor and mayor in New Orleans a WEEK before this happened to let them assist. They had everything lined up and ready to go.The hurricane isn't what did them in. If you remember, people were out and about after the hurricane. They showed peopel in bars, drinking, walking around. It was the levies. The levies that for twenty years the corrupt goverment in Louisiana KNEW could not support a hurricane of significant strength. They knew for ALL those years and did nothing. You want to blame someone, blame who is responsible.Any idea what a chain of command is? You don't go to the CEO of a company and accuse him of not doing his job because a customer service rep in a regional office half a country away stole office equipment or put company checks in his bank account. You hold the local management responsible because they should have been in control of their office and employees. The president isn't there to babysit local governments, he's there to ensure that if they aren't run properly, things get fixed, and he fixed them. So shut your mouth you ignorant fool.

GEORGEWNIXON,FEMA had nothing to do with the evacuation of New Orleans which SHOULD have occured prior to the hurricane hitting. So FEMA did not tell New Orleans they could not use the school buses. The school buses were available and were in the evacuation plan created by New Orleans and the Louisiana government. As for the number of buses being around 150-200, that is just the number sitting in 3 feet of water in the now famous photo. New Orleans has more buses than that.Even using the 200 figure, 200 buses with 40 people per bus is 8000 people in ONE TRIP. Buses can make more than one trip during an evacuation. They also should have been evacuating at least 3 days prior to the hurricane strike. There is no one to blame for those people being stranded but Nagin, the mayor of New Orleans.

Anyone that knows how the goverment is set up knows that the Feds can only help when asked in those types of situations. The Governor and Mayor down there should be brought up on charges. They were the ones that decided they knew best. That they didn't want or need help until it was too late. Now that everything is over they want their political base back. They do not want to lose their votes. It don't appear that they care if it is a safe place for these citizens.

HIS response was that "We ain't usin' no school buses! Get every greyhound company in the country off their asses and get 'em here! We've got a national emergency down here!" It seems from this comment indicates that it was his desire for the citizens "comfort" rather than their LIFE or DEATH SAFETY that motivated him to forego the yellow busses, even though the official hurricane evac plan calls for the use of school busses. Obviously you should spend a little time looking at news outlets other that democraticunderground.com or Howard Dean. Kool-aid drinker you are.

I think that you need to check your history because there are some facts missing from your argument. The Republican party that wanted slavery abolished and the Civil Rights legislation passed is not the same Republican party today. Initially (before 1948), the Republican party was liberal and represented the north, which helped abolish and supported civil rights. There were a group of Southern White Democrats, partially led by Strom Thurmond, that opposed African American grassroot, political activity, and government initiatives that supported Civil rights. The Thurmond group left the Democratic party, formed the Dixiecrats, and soon joined the contemporary Republican Party. The views of Thurmond, and other southern leaders were accepted throughtout the contemporary republican party, and soon became policy and ideology. The present day Democratic Party are the original supporters of the Civil rights movement that was in opposition to Thurmond's group. As for President Bush, appointing a Blacks for political gain, yet not helping the masses is not a genuine act. It gives an impression of supporting the "cause", but if actions don't fdollow, then its a wasted act. No Child Left Behind is a good program, but there are many more that President Bush abandoned.

I just don't know what you are talking about. First of all it was Republicans that wanted slavery abolished. Second, it was actually Republicans who made the Civil Rights Legislation pass. Please check your history! You have been reading too much of someone else's history books, but the real history speaks for itself. You raised an interesting point though, why do many African-Americans vote Democrat? African-Americans have been doing it for years, and where has it gotten them. Please, I want to know. Have things gotten better for you over the past 30 years. Look at New Orleans, that city had been voting Democrat for 70 years. Look at all of the poverty. The amount of poverty in New Orleans is intolerable. Who is responsible? Not Bush, He's only been around for the past 5 or so years. This poverty problem has been in New Orleans for several decades. Who has been running New Orleans and Louisiana for the past 4 or 5 decades? Democrats. I refuse to listen to people bash Bush for a problem that was there for decades before he was president. Oh and another fact for you . . . Bush has the most racially diverse cabinet IN US HISTORY!!!! I' sorry if I have offended some of you, but if this note is offensive then, so is the truth, and I cannot control that.

Yet, there are many who would believe the entire list is harmonious. In their ignorance, they think that the devastating things that are happening to this nation are nothing more than nature doing her own thing. You may have noticed that lately there has been an increase in Mother Nature's rumblings. You may also be aware that in the last ten years, incidents of cancer in the U.S. have increased. In 2002 there were 189,000 new cases of prostate cancer in the U.S., with 203,500 cases of breast cancer. Cancer isn't our only dilemma. Back in 1993, Americans spent an incredible $898 billion on health care. We have moved from one of the lowest infant mortality rates to one of the highest, with over 40,000 newborns dying each year. The National Alliance for Mental Illness diagnosed that ten million people have serious long-term mental disease. The United States of America is continually being plagued with killer earthquakes, new incurable diseases that are outwitting antibiotics, killer hurricanes, devastating tornadoes, calamitous floods, terrible droughts, and the return of once "conquered" diseases such as tuberculosis. The CauseThe Bible tells us that "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." Well let's see how we are doing morally: 1. Adultery: USA Today reported that fifty to sixty percent of married couples admit to adultery. 2. Fornication: According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, approximately one in five people in the United States, 45 million individuals, are infected with the virus that causes genital herpes. 3. Rape: A Harris poll sets the figure at 380,000 rapes or sexual assaults that took place back in 1993. The Justice Department says that eight percent of all American women will be victims of rape or attempted rape in their lifetime. 4. Pornography: UPI News, November 19, 1997 said that porn video rentals soared to 665 million in 1996, accounting for 13.3 percent of video rentals in America. 5. Abortion: Centers For Disease Control and Prevention reported 1,267,415 abortions in 1998. It's been estimated that there have been more than 40 million since Roe vs. Wade. 6. Theft: It is estimated theft costs the country $500 billion each year. 7. Greed: Focus on the Family revealed that Americans now visit casinos more often than they attend professional sporting events. Collectively, they lose in excess of $50 billion each year to lotteries, horse and dog tracks, casinos, and the various other gambling venues. 8. Murder: According to FBI statistics, over 18,000 people were murdered in 1997. It averaged more than 20,000 per year, totaling 200,000 murders during the 1990s. Over 100,000 murderers were never brought to justice. 9. Drunkenness: Florida Alcohol & Drug Abuse Association estimates that the social costs of alcohol addiction amount to $100 billion per year in lost productivity and related health costs. 10. Hypocrisy: The Barna Research Group found that sixty-two percent of Americans profess to be Christians, while the book, The Day America Told the Truth said that ninety-one percent lie regularly. We don't seem to be doing too well. We are no different than Israel, who through the ages, kept straying from God's Commandments into lawlessness. From there, they lost the promised blessing of health, which was conditional upon righteousness (Deuteronomy 28:15-46). Meanwhile, despite our national sins, a blind and mystified world points to everything from coffee to hot dogs as the reason for the increase in cancer. As the blessings of God have been removed from the soil, we think nothing of spraying crops with hundreds of thousands of tons of poisons each year to try and combat the onslaught of pestilence. The influence of generations of evolutionary philosophy has us thinking that we are merely assisting (a not quite fully evolved) Mother Nature. The thought that we have somehow offended God, doesn't even enter the area of our godless reflection. America the beautiful is no longer beautiful. Violence and sin has made her ugly. America, America, God shed His grace on thee… but now you are reaping the fruit of your sins, and it is time for you to be told: America, America,God mend thine every flawConfirm thy soul in self control,Thy liberty in Law. What does the song-writer mean by "Thy liberty in Law?" - a city whose drivers are lawful, has the liberty of flowing, problem-free traffic. But if drivers refuse to obey traffic laws, there will be accidents, pain and chaos. Winston Churchill was right when he said, "If a nation won't be ruled by God, it will be ruled by anarchy." We are suffering the aftermath of a national loss of self-control, and consequently, lawlessness. Here again is just some of the chaotic fruit of not keeping God's Law - murder, theft, rape, drug-addiction, alcoholism, obesity, fear, hatred, sexual perversion, racial prejudice, greed, disease, spousal abuse, child abuse, child pornography, family break-down, etc. If you are the victim of the sins of America, God knows your pain. The Bible says He is full of compassion and rich in mercy to all that call upon Him. Even though the situation seems hopeless, there is a way to avert the pathetic sight of children with cancer, more terrible disasters, and other horrible diseases from further flooding this nation. There is a way we can, with the help of God, bring healing to this once great country. The Answer is in Your HandsLet's stop talking about "America's" sins, and see how you and I personally stand morally. Answer the following with a tender conscience: Have you ever told a lie? This includes any fibs, white lies, half-truths or exaggerations told in the past. Remember, time doesn't forgive sin. God sees the sins of your youth as though it were yesterday. If you have told even one lie, then you are a liar (be brutally honest with yourself, because God will be on the Day of Judgment). Have you ever stolen something? The value of the item is totally irrelevant. If you have stolen one thing, then you are a thief. Have you committed murder, or have you desired to by harboring hatred in your heart? If you have hated someone the Bible says that you are a murderer. Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever done that? Have you had sex outside of marriage, or committed adultery, or desired to? Then you have committed sexual sin and cannot enter Heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9). Have you kept the Sabbath holy, always honored your parents, have you put God first in your affections, loving Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength? Have you always loved your neighbor as much as you have loved yourself? Most of us have trouble loving our "loved" ones, let alone loving our neighbors. Have you ever used God's name in vain, either employing it as a curse word, or failing to give it due honor? Have you made a god to suit yourself and therefore been guilty of "idolatry" - making a god in your own image, believing in your version of what you think God is like? Have you ever desired anything that belonged to someone else? If you have broken even one of these Ten Commandments, then you have sinned against God. On Judgment Day every sin you have ever committed will come out as evidence of your guilt. You will be damned forever, and lose your soul. Without God's mercy, you will go to Hell. The Scriptures warn that unless you repent, you will perish. Don't add self-righteousness to your sins by saying that you are basically a "good" person. If you refuse to admit that "America's" sins are your sins, you will never seek God's mercy. Don't also think that God will overlook your sins because He is good. His "goodness" will make sure justice is done. He will punish all liars, thieves, adulterers, etc. Don't be fooled into thinking you can clean up your life. No "good" you do can wash away your sins - only God's mercy can do that. Two thousand years ago, He came to this earth in human form to take the punishment for us. The Bible says, "God commended His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." When Jesus died on the cross, He stepped into the courtroom and paid the fine for us. His suffering was necessary to satisfy the Law you and I violated. The moment we repent and trust the Savior, God forgives our sins and grants us everlasting life. That's how America can be healed of her plagues . . . God will forgive our sins because of what Jesus did on the cross. If you care about America, if you care about the children of America . . . if you care about your eternal salvation, tell God you are sorry for your sins, then turn from them in humble repentance. Think of it this way - you are a man who has committed adultery. You have violated the trust of a loving and faithful wife. She is more than willing to forgive you, so how can you reconcile the relationship? You humble yourself, tell her you are truly sorry . . . then vow to never (even think of) committing adultery again. You shouldn't need someone to write words of sorrow for you to read to your wife, and you shouldn't have to read a prayer of repentance to God from this tract. Just pour your heart out to Him. It's your heart, not the words that really matter. Then put your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Trust Him in the same way you would trust a pilot with your life when you fly on a plane. He is but a fallible man, so how much more should you trust in God. Read the Bible daily, and obey what you read, and God will never fail you. How refreshing! Though not a huge fan of either, it gave promise for a better tomorrow. Nobody wanted or needed for Hurricane Katrina to ravish the Gulf Coast as it did - but it happened. The loss of life will never be forgotten and nor should it but New Orleans will prove the test of time and will still be one of the prime focal points in the US. Everyone, everywhere could have done something different with regards to the response efforts but how many times have Cat 4's or 5's been forcasted and never came to fruition? Out...

50cent is intelligent and has the ability to accomplish just about anything he wants to do... so who is John Galt?Mr West gives head better than me... about all the little punk can do is work his lips since he is incapable of intelligent thought. When more of us "think" before we vote... the 90% in poverty will realize they vote for a bunch of losers because they've been a bunch of losers... birds of a feather flock together.I have a dream... that some day our race will judge each other by the content of their character and not by the color of our skin... we are the only ones who can refer to each other as "house n****r" and "field n****r" 'cause of the color of our skin, but does that make it right? Political correctness will be our doom. The mind is a terrible thing to waste... creating a dependency on the government only rots the mind... just look at what became of the USSR.

I applaud 50 Cent for coming forward and stating what is the truth, and what's the true opinion of the average fair-minded man/woman on the street. Kanye West, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton should be ashamed of themselves for trying to grab the spotlight by making inane and innacurate and baseless remarks like this one after Katrina struck. It was a time for all people to pull together to help the victims of Katrina, not a time for people to manuever for personal and political gain at the expense of those affected by the hurricane. Racism is wrong. But falsely accusing someone of being as racist is just as wrong. Thank you 50 Cent for setting a wonderful example for all of the impressionable young men and women who listen to and buy your music.

50 Cents can make any statement he wants to make concerning the events that happened in New Orleans this is still a free(?) country even if Bush and his gang would like to change that. Trust me given the chance they would! Can you say "bird flu" and "quaran-tine" together and don't leave out "police state" while you're at it. Kanye West is exactly right. Maybewhat happened was an act of God, but what my family'srelatives and friends were complaining about is 'theaftermath' and precisely "how" this government afterseeing the magnitude and scope of the disaster was be-yond the capability of the local and state government to handle, did absoluely NOTHING for more than five days!!! Had those same conditions happened in Beverly Hills, California, or Shaker Heights, Clevelandhow swiftly do you think that the federal government'sresponse would have been? Yeah, Fitty can mouth off at sh*t that doesn't affect him personally but don't tryto inject some lame personal viewpoint into somethingas cut and dried as what went on down in New Orleans. The whole world saw that for what it was, out and outracist neglect from the highest levels of the US government! Peace.

Celebrities and Politics, where do I start. I am pretty impressed by 50 Cent to call a fellow proprietor of young black urban drug/gang fellowship anecdotal nonsense on his political tripe, but seriously, my sense of celebrities is that their trip to celebrity status has not been wreaked with formidable educational opportunities. Look at Michael Jackson. If he told us that George Bush was bad and that Ted Kennedy was okay and that BoBo the monkey was great... doesn't that sum it up? Celebrities live in the moment, and (I know this is stereotyping) live in a moment that is centered on them. Did Kanye West say what he did because he believed it, or because it was guaranteed to be on someone's next-day headline? Is 50 cent saying this so that we will demand justice from Kanye West or so that we think that 50 cent is sane? Either way, it is about self-centered thinking. How does one come upon the illustrious career of celebrity? I think it takes a lot of public relations and a lot of photo-ops. I mean, what did Paris Hilton do before acting like a twit on a reality show? I have seen a number of twits on reality shows, but they aren't covered in every Star and Us magazine.And... yes, I really enjoy those magazines. I like to see celebrities being celebrities. But please, let's only let politically experienced and/or educated celebrities get our attention, and then run their comments against the facts to be sure it isn't another publicity stunt. Seriously, Bush, sending able-bodied snipers to take out black people in the middle of a natural disaster. ROFLMAO!!! The minute we take that seriously, the minute we need to go up against Kanye in a battle of the wits, and hope that we have what it takes.

Wow, 50cent made a lot of sense! His simple, common sense, logic is refreshing. That's what our people need more of ... inner strength ... like our forefathers had during and after slavery. The Democrats have pimped us to the point we ain't got no backbone anymore. Kanye's gone back into bondage ... in his mind ... he sees anyone who is free in mind, body and spirit as a slave ... while, to him, the slave is free ... and longing for the love of massa!

Kanye represent the "pack" mentality. I believe almost 90% blacks vote Democrat. What did the Democrats do for poor people in New Orleans, Louisiana?New Orleans has: Democrat Mayor, Democrat City Council, & Democrat Chief of Police.Louisiana has a Democrt Governor, Democrat Lt. Governor & Democrat Attorney General.29 of 39 Louisiana State Senators are DEMOCRAT.There is a Democrat Representative in the House from New Orleans - and one of two Senators in the Senate is a Democrat. There is nothing wrong with being a Democrat & but why not hold them accountable for you vote - for your confidence? Some of the most talented & successful people came from the projects. There is no shame in being poor - but there is shame in getting so rich that you flaunt your cribs & bling bling on TV for the world to see when you drive right pass the poor neighborhoods without holding your elected officials accountable. Kanye West is in denial - 50 Cent has his eyes wide open & he is most likely to not give his vote away to just anybody! Way to go 50 Cent!

I know absolutely nothing about 50 cents, West or Hip Hop music........but I can say at least there is one person in that industry who isn't afraid to speak out FOR President Bush. For five years the entertainment industry has taken every chance it can to bash Mr. Bush along with the democrats. I have never seen such hatred. It's disgusting! Thank you 50 cents for speaking the truth! God Bless you!

I don't think most people, including 50 Cent, read enough or are well enough acquainted with the facts of these more serious issues to comment on them. I like 50 Cent's music, but from what I have seen, most of Kanye West's comments of a serious nature have been very intellectual and right on the ball, and I really think he is a breath of fresh air in the mostly vain and superficial world of entertainment. 50 is probably just trying to undo some of the bad press he is getting from his new movie because of his depiction with a gun. In the light of the violence in the inner city it has caused quite an uproar. This is all PR probably cooked up by his management. Kanye West's outspokeness on such issues harks back to the times in the 60's when art really mattered and people stood up for what was important, instead of propagating false values.

I commend 50 Cent for having the guts to do what is right, Not what is politically correct or pandering to score points. He will be savaged by militant African Americans for standing up for President Bush, But he is absolutly right with his comments. no one could have stopped what happened in New Orleans. Kanye West looked like a complete fool with his ranting about a president who nominated the first black secretary of state, A black woman as national security advisor, And a black head of the department of education. Kanye needs to stick to what he does best, Make music and leave politics to people who can think and talk at the same time. Oh by the way, Just to keep the " This guy must be a racist" comments in check, I am a 45 year old black american and a former U.S. Navy veteran

What happened in New Orleans was an act of nature not an act of the president. the blame starts with the mayor, and the govenor and stays there. they knew this hurricane was coming and they did nothing about it. It appears to be jelousy and/or insecurity here. To date, 50 has rapped of nothing of substance. His comments here clearly show him to be out of his league. It is refreshing to see rappers, such as Kanye, succesfully reflecting the maturation of the hip-hop/rap genre into more weighty issues.
