Blues great Bb King joined state dignitaries in Mississippi on Friday (10JUN05) to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new $10 million (GBP5.3 million) museum to be erected in his honour.

The Indianola museum is close to the site of the house where the 79-year-old guitar legend grew up and it's actually on the site of the cotton mill where he once worked.

King says, "I had this thought that I would build a house and at my death it would open as a museum."

But the museum isn't a certainty yet - state officials are still looking to raise money to complete the project after a $2 million (GBP1.05 million) state-funded bond fell through.

Fire Ball Wiz Kid

Heard of of his music. Not really a fan. Known he's been around. If the people want it' allow them to build. Always newer plans and more museums make children ask why! Then word would spread faster if children are getting more ot of it and they will be able to relate to why a museum like this was built - Then they would try harder and have something to lean in for - for the long run and for the rest of their lives. "Need a boost for more investments & dollars? Contact me. Or spend money in the right place in building a museum in a better location along with amusement and rides for the smoother hall! Like in Delta, Utah.
