Bosses Reach Agreement On Guthrie's Track
The parody, on WWW.JIBJAB.COM, skewers the 2004 presidential contenders and has been viewed by about 20 million people since it premiered on 9 June (04).
In return for LUDLOW MUSIC's allowance, creators of the shot have agreed to provide a link from their site to the song's original lyrics and donate 20 per cent of any profits to the WOODY GUTHRIE FOUNDATION.
Ludlow had demanded that the company stop using the song. JIBJAB MEDIA claims its use was protected because the short was a parody and the song was in the public domain.26/08/2004 21:06
