British movie makers WORKING TITLE FILMS have stepped up security at their headquarters after fears new movie Bridget Jones: THE EDGE OF REASON has been illegally pirated.

The movie, starring Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth, is currently in post-production and Working Title have been tipped off that as much as $10 million (GBP5.5 million) is being offered by movie pirates for a perfect digital copy.

A spokesperson for the production company told Britain's The Guardian newspaper, "We are aware that significant sums of money are being offered for any early material on the movie."

Rumours abound that Working Title are working with American risk consultants KROLL ASSOCIATES to safeguard their product.
