Dance stars THE Chemical Brothers are relieved Britain's notorious bad weather didn't threaten their performance at this year's Glastonbury festival.

The BLOCK ROCKIN' BEATS musicians were thrilled their set narrowly avoided Friday night's storm (25JUN04) at the

music event in south west England - because rain would have dampened the audience's reaction and ruined their musical equipment.

The rock duo TOM ROWLAND and ED SIMONS say, "We played WOLVERHAMPTON CIVIC HALL the other week and an aqua park in Hungary, and now onto Glastonbury.

"That prepares you for most things - with lightning, thunderous rain going on while we were playing.

"Thinking you're going to get struck by lightening, electrocuted any second, always finesses your live capability.

"I was very scared. One thing I didn't want was to be electrocuted in an aqua park in Hungary!"
