Welsh singer Charlotte Church's homeless aunt has indignantly rejected her niece's generous offer to buy her a house.

The 18-year-old took control of her $10.8 million (GBP6 million) fortune this year (04) and has put a substantial bid on a new property for CAROLINE COOPER, who sacrificed her TV debut on British TV star JONATHAN ROSS' BIG, BIG TALENT SHOW to give Church her big break when she was just 11.

Church's aunt - a cabaret singer - has had her home repossessed and has been forced to move into a tiny house with the singer's grandmother, but she refuses to accept Church's kind offer.

A source close to the star says, "Caroline has been like a second mother to her. When Charlotte and her mother weren't speaking it was Caroline who acted as a peace-maker.

"But Caroline is a proud woman and would never take any handouts from her niece.

"Even when she knew her house was going to be repossessed there was no way she was going to ask Charlotte to help her out."

The wealthy singer already pays $4,490 (GBP2,495) schooling fees per term for her aunt's son and is determined fix her money problems.
