Fans of late BEATLES guitarist SIR GEORGE HARRISON will soon be able pay homage to the star in cinemas - last year's (02) star-studded tribute gig is being released on the big screen.

The footage of the ROYAL ALBERT HALL, London, gig will be released on DVD in November (03) - just weeks after the limited cinematic run - with all profits going to the MATERIAL WORLD CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, founded by the musician in 1973.

The CONCERT FOR GEORGE will premiere in cinemas in London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Last November's concert - to mark the first anniversary of Harrison's death - featured his former bandmates SIR PAUL McCARTNEY and RINGO STARR as well as pals ERIC CLAPTON, TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS, RAVI SHANKAR, JOE and SAM BROWN, BILLY PRESTON, JOOLS HOLLAND and JEFF LYNNE.

The gig features classic Harrison songs such as WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS, TAXMAN, ISN'T IT A PITY, GIVE ME LOVE (GIVE ME PEACE ON EARTH) and MY SWEET LORD.

Harrison's widow OLIVIA says, "It was an indescribable evening and was captured beautifully on film.

"I may be prejudiced but, in my opinion, The Concert For George is a classic performance as well as a historical musical document."
