Movie director TODD HAYNES says actor Dennis Quaid got a touch too vigorous during filming - while performing a gay love scene.
The INNERSPACE star, 48, was told to turn down the aggression in the intimate moment in OSCAR-nominated movie Far From Heaven.
Haynes says, "They were wrestling around! I had to keep toning it down. In some ways, the hardest thing for men to do, if they aren't accustomed to it, is just kissing.
"Just keeping it simple and romantic, which is what I wanted from that scene. Whether or not it was any easier for him to do, they started a bit like tigers on Vaseline."
