Bruce Willis' return to the Die Hard franchise is nearing, after movie studio Twentieth Century Fox hired a writer for the fourth installment.

Mark Bomback has been recruited to pen the film's script, which continues to centre on the action-filled escapades of JOHN McCLAINE, a character Willis first took on 15 years ago.

Pending approval of the script, Willis will reprise his role as well as produce it through his company CHEYENNE PRODUCTIONS.

Bomback wrote the upcoming film Godsend, which stars Robert De Niro.
