LIMP BIZKIT rocker FRED DURST is planning to single-handedly bring back 1980s synthesizer pop genre with a new side project band.

The rap-rocker has formed hobby group PACIFICA because he wants to pay tribute to the acts he grew up listening to.

He says, "You will be very surprised. I loved the THOMAS DOLBYs. I loved the HUMAN LEAGUEs."

And, talking of Durst's odd musical tastes, he admits he recently saw CELINE DION perform in Las Vegas, Nevada.
