FIVE FOR FIGHTING singer JOHN ONDRASIK (corr) dashed back to his home in Encino, California, from a show in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday night (28JUL04) after hearing his caretaker had been stabbed in his house.

The housekeeper was reportedly stabbed 13 times by an intruder and is now fighting for his life in a local hospital.

The Encino street is an infamous celebrity enclave - MARY-KATE and ashley OLSEN are neighbours and comic Phil Hartman was shot to death by his wife yards away from Ondrasik's home six years ago.
