Harrison Ford hates the internet, because it means anyone can spread malicious gossip about him. The actor, who plays a computer-security specialist in his latest film Firewall, sees a need to censor his words to avoid being misrepresented online. He says, "The worst thing about the internet is that anything and everything is up for grabs. How can that be, when I limit my public conversations to about once every couple of years? "Any kind of rubbish goes on the internet and it can have a f**king life of its own."

ill bet you love the net when its selling all of your movies thou. dont say stupid things and dont do stupid things, and you wont have to worry about the life they take on. hollywood elitism is a disease that most of your type have, if its important to me then it should be important to everyone syndrome. and when you get criticized, then play victim to the big bad people who remind you of your stupidy. acting is just that acting, faking someone elses identity doesnt take a brain surgeon. good luck with the obvious onset of alzheimers.

Props is short for "propers" as in, "proper respect"Props, short for Propers, -Don't forget that the entire word "propers" is used in the song "Respect", written by Otis Redding and most famously recorded by Aretha Franklin in 1967. At least, I think it is ("all I'm askin' in return honey is to give me my propers when I get home")-

Harrison is just showing his age. He preferred an age where there were a few jealously guarded pipes of one-way communication. TV, Radio, these were the days Harrison obviously preferred. A few anointed twits like Walter Cronkite could keep us all in the dark about what's REALLY going on. Keep us non-thinking listeners, viewer & readers. Now, we have literally billions of pipes of information & they are bi-directional. Any assertion can be countered with a hyperlink. The viewer, reader, listener can immediately react & make his opinion known or check other references. This is a bad thing for Harrison Ford? He preferred us all sitting on the couch like good little school children listening to Dan Rather?Yes, a lie can grow & have a life of its own on the Internet & it can do so very quickly. However, he fails to realize that the lie can crash & burn just as fast.During the .com bubble someone leaked false info on a company and their stock plummeted. However, the company's real CEO set the record straight and the stock immediately shot the other way and ended almost at the exact price it started at that morning, before the lie. This is an example of the self-corrective power of the Internet. This is something Harrison hasn't thought about.Naturally, the Internet presents its share of challenges, but to blow off the greatest bi-directional communication medium ever devised is...well...kinda small mindedI guess I'm back to asking: 'why does anyone give a flying f**k what a celebrity thinks about ANYTHING but acting and show business?'

Hey Foon, opps I mean Buffon. Your response proved that my reply to your blog was correct. Did you have your neighbor write that reply for you or did you get that out of a gangster rap magazine? Honestly, I did not take your insult personally and it was a good laugh. To bad that you cannot laugh at a good slam especially when you opened up the door.

Hollywood stars are just a recent version of organ-grinder monkeys....they get so angry when people don't take them seriously. They should just be happy when people throw money in the hat and laugh...even that could be gone one day.

I too was fooled for a while into thinking there was something of value to H.F. I now realize that I was fooled by his silence. I thought it was a matter of "still water running deep" however, now that he is flapping his jaws, I realize that his silence was a clever cover to mask his basic vapidity. He is a typical, biased, overly-emotional Leftist; filled with misinformation, and lacking the ability to separate opinion from fact. Like other "stars" who often lack solid secondary educational credentials, his ability to reason is severely compromised. However, he is "rich" so he doesn't have to have to justify his weak intellect. He can bully on, secure in the belief that his keen intellect and sharp tongue can move the world to a better place, if only the common folks will accept the benefit of his thinking. Lacking formal education, it is easy to believe that one is very clever, and very rational, and very logical. I'm sorry to laugh at H.F, but he waves his foolishness like a standard, so he must be seeking attention.

Hey Spike, I just have to laugh. No one should be offended when YOU call them a moron or bafoon. All they have to do is consider the source. How can you say "no body helped us with our fight for independence" and then in another post say "the French played a BIG PART..."? There's old saying: Keep quiet and people may think you a fool, or speak and prove them right. Thanks for the proof.

How can he hate the internet? Al Gore invented the internet so that all common people would have a forum to study Harrison Ford! Most people myself included could care less whether Hollywood actors including Ford live or die, so Mr. Ford get over yourself!
