George Michael Stays Away From Stonewashed Jeans

While singer GEORGE MICHAEL shudders when he looks back on a long list of fashion crimes, he's frustrated with the misconception he had a hand in making stonewashed jeans trendy.

The former WHAM! frontman hangs his head in shame when he thinks about the hideous outfits he's worn in the past, but insists he had nothing to do with the 1980s stonewashed jeans phenomenon.

He says, "I need to point out that even though they were very much a part of the times, I never wore stonewashed jeans. I wore old jeans.

"I made lots of fashion mistakes but stonewashed jeans was not one of them!"
