Comeback rocker Billy Idol took the inspiration for his biggest hit from a birthday present pal SIR Mick Jagger was once given.

The WHITE WEDDING hardman was intrigued along with the rest of the ROLLING STONES when Jagger was given a bottle of REBEL YELL whiskey.

Idol jotted down the Brown Sugar rockers' jokes and comments about the bizarrely-named liquor - and turned them into his smash hit 1985 song of the same name.
