Jackson Accuser's Mother: `i Lied'
The mother of Michael Jackson's child molestation accuser has become the latest witness in the case to admit to lying about statements she has made.
Janet Jackson confirmed she had been untruthful in a sworn deposition she gave when she previously filed a lawsuit against US department store JC PENNEY.
Jackson, who was cross-examined by the pop superstar's defence team in court in Santa Maria, California yesterday (15APR05), won a $137,000 (GBP72,100) settlement from JC Penney after claiming she was sexually assaulted by security guards at the store after they arrested her for allegedly shoplifting.
In the deposition she insisted her then-husband didn't abuse her or her children, but on the stand yesterday she admits her ex did abuse the family and confessed she lied.19/04/2005 02:41
