Jackson Accuses Former Associate Of 'Concealing Funds'
TV and film-maker Schaffel filed a suit against Jackson in Los Angeles Superior Court last November (04), claiming the 47-year-old star owes him money in both unpaid expenses and producing fees.
Schaffel worked with Jackson on two documentaries, THE MICHAEL JACKSON INTERVIEW: THE FOOTAGE YOU WERE NEVER MEANT TO SEE and MICHAEL JACKSON'S PRIVATE HOME MOVIES in 2003, which were made in response to British journalist Martin Bashir's damning documentary LIVING WITH MICHAEL JACKSON, which featured Jackson's child molestation accuser GAVIN ARVIZO.
The THRILLER hitmaker has now filed a cross-complaint against Schaffel, claiming the producer failed to pay productions costs for Jackson's charity song WHAT MORE CAN I GIVE? and continued to represent himself as a Jackson affiliate, after their partnership had ended.
The singer also claims Schaffel has $250,000 (GBP138,800) worth of Jackson's sculptures and paintings in his possession.
Schaffel's lawyer HOWARD KING responds to Jackson's action, labelling it "another ridiculous claim".
