Killer Kane's Wife Blasts Mormons For Ruining His Last Wishes - Comments and Message Board

funny as hell..... The LDS church wouldn't interfere in Kanes last wishes. PERIOD It sounds MORE probable that Kanes LAST WISHES didn't include his wife's WISHES.....Some Research shows they are DIVORCED and Kane claimed many times that she was not a part of his life any longer. The Mormon Church doesn't take charge of any personal possession of ANYONE. And THAT is a fact. Sounds like just another HOLE/Nirvana story where you have a Crackedout Beotch claiming she knows what is best for a dead man.... Everyone reacts to the "moment" only to find out later the Crackedout Beotch really was a Crackedout Beotch....

To everyone, Stop it. You are all coming off as blubbering fools. If any of you are legit, which I doubt extremely, then you would know that this is not what Arthur would want. Each of you....get a life and move on.

Hey Girlhowdy... You've got some things wrong. First, I've known Barbara for 13 years and, at the time of his death, I had known Arthur for 11 of them. I'm not at all sure who you are, but if you were as close to the Kanes, as you represent, then you well know that although they stopped living as a married couple years ago, they continued a close business AND personal relationship, until the time of Arthur's death. In regards to the Morman Church, they did indeed prevent Barbara from obtaining Arthur's remains as they did not recognize their (never legally disolved) marriage and therefore contested her right to acess them. As I said before, I'm not at all sure WHO you are but your story is full of holes. For instance, Arthur's 'book' was not completed before his demise. It consisted of disjointed 'journal' type writings. As far as you being a 'close' friend to Arthur, well, all I can say to that is; where were you when Arthur needed help moving, needed a ride, needed to vent about his extremely complicated life? Arthur had few true, close friends who would probably take exception to your statements. As for contacting Barbara about the burial of Arthur's ashes...she says she has no idea what you're talking about. In closing, let me offer to clear the air. As well as being a personal friend to both Barbara and Arthur, I am a paralegal in the law firm that represents the Kane estate. So, do, feel free to contact me at: The Law Offices of Robert E. Canny, Esq. (213) 401 3996 at your earliest convenience.

I don't think you have anything to fear from the Mormon church, but I would have to agree this story is absurd. The Mormon church would have had no say over how Arthur Kane's(may he rest in peace) remains would have been handled. I will pass no judgement on Mrs. Kane but to say I am certain that if Arthur's wishes would have been to be buried next to his friends and the money to do that had been available that the Mormon church (which, by the way, does not consider cremation as the preferred form of internment) would never have objected to his estranged widow making and carrying out those arrangements.

The Mormon Church never takes "custody" of any dead body. The church does not take any person's assets. It does accept cash donations. With this type of reporting, you're not going to by the New York Times.
