American band The Killers consider themselves honorary Brits - because they were inspired by British music and have found most success there.

The Las Vegas group have achieved more across the Atlantic than their native US - and frontman Brandon Flowers admits he would never have become a musician without the inspiration of British bands.

Frontman BRANDON FLOWERS says, "With the way that Americans are perceived around the world, it's an honour that we're able to come over and get so much love.

"I just wouldn't exist without my brother listening to The Cure and The Smiths.

"We couldn't have asked for anything more. We owe everything to Britain."
