Former HEAR'SAY beauty Myleene Klass came to the rescue after she spotted a man bleeding in a busy London street.

The British singer - who has just signed a classical record deal - stepped in when she saw the elderly American lying on the pavement outside busy store Selfridges in Oxford Street.

Klass made sure the 82-year-old man, who gave his name only as JOHN, was in safe hands and comforted his wife.

The chart star was shopping with her sister JESSIE when they saw a small crowd gathering around the injured man who was bleeding from his head and arm.

Klass sent her sister off to get towels from a nearby store to stem the bleeding and ordered an ambulance.

She also made sure he was not moved in case it aggravated any injuries.

Klass says, "I'm just glad I could help this poor man. I'd like to think someone would do the same for my family."
