Korn Re-Record Word Up

Heavy rockers KORN have revamped CAMEO's funk classic WORD UP for their forthcoming GREATEST HITS: VOLUME 1 album.

The 1986 anthem, which has also been recorded by GUN, GUNS N' ROSES and ex-SPICE GIRL MELANIE B among others, has become a soundcheck favourite for the FREAK ON A LEASH hitmakers, and they decided to record the track for their first retrospective.

Korn frontman JONATHAN DAVIS says, "It came out amazing. I should get a red codpiece (like the one Cameo singer LARRY BLACKMON used to wear) and wear it when we play it (Word Up) live."

The rockers have also recorded all three versions of PINK FLOYD's ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL for their hits album.
