Lollapalooza's Wet Start

Heavy rain and technical problems failed to dampen spirits at the first Lollapalooza festival date of the summer (03) in Indiana at the weekend (05JUL03).

Jane's Addiction and Audioslave were among the groups who battled through the nasty weather on Saturday night to get the rock tour off to a great start.

A brutal downpour threatened to end the show when the space in front of the stage turned into a muddy pit.

Rockers Queens Of The Stone Age were forced to halt their show for an hour, while organisers decided whether or not to continue.

They did, but a second stage was shut down before performances by THE DISTILLERS and JACKASS' STEVE-O.
