R+B star Mario plans to put his recent chart success to good use, by starting up a foundation for impoverished children.

The 18-year-old singer, whose hit track LET ME LOVE YOU has so far been America's sole number one in 2005, has decided that once he's purchased himself a home, his next step will be to aid struggling youngsters.

He says, "It's deeper than just me, man. It's a lot of kids out there. It's a lot of poverty.

"As artists, not only do we have young people that look up to us and listen to us, we have the opportunity to help."
