McGraw And Hill Slam Katrina Clean-Up
Country icons Tim Mcgraw and Faith Hill have slammed the clean-up operation in the wake of last year's (AUG06) Hurricane Katrina as "humiliating". The husband and wife singers, who are natives of Louisiana and Mississippi respectively, are incensed that politics and agendas have hampered relief efforts in the wake of the natural disaster which ravaged America's Deep South. MCGraw, 38, says, "To me, there's a lot of politics being played and a lot of people trying to put people in bad positions to further their agendas. That erases everything that's great about our country." Hill, who broke down and began swearing during the interview, adds, "It is a huge, huge problem and it's embarrassing. "I fear for our country if we can't handle our people (during) a natural disaster."
