Disgraced supermodel Kate Moss is preparing to sign a lucrative contract with US fashion giant Calvin Klein - a deal which will reportedly boost her earnings to almost double those before her recent drug scandal.

The new deal, which Moss' publicist confirmed yesterday (25FEB06), is thought to be worth close to $2.6 million (GBP1.5 million) and comes just six months after photographs of Moss allegedly snorting cocaine threatened to end her career.

A string of top companies, including Chanel, Burberry and H+M, axed the model from their advertising campaigns after British newspaper Daily Mirror published the incriminating photos of Moss alongside her then-boyfriend Pete Doherty in September (05).

But the catwalk beauty has since compensated for the loss of these contracts by signing a number of multi-million dollar deals with Longchamps, Bulgari, Stella Mccartney and Virgin Mobile.

Fashion house Burberry is also reportedly reversing their decision, offering the 32-year-old style icon $1.8 million (GBP1.05 million) for another annual signing.

British newspaper The Independent On Sunday reports these new deals will bring Moss' total earnings to $17 million (GBP10 million), compared to just $10.3 million (GBP6 million) before the drug allegations.
