Nine Inch Nails Scrap Mtv Performance Following Bush Ban
Goth rockers NINE INCH NAILS have pulled out of a planned performance at next week's (04JUN05) MTV MOVIE AWARDS after event planners tried to force the group to ditch it's controversial GEORGE W BUSH backdrop for the show.
Group leader TRENT REZNOR was offended by executives' efforts to censor his stage show and so he's decided not to play.
In a statement, Reznor says, "Apparently the image of our president is as offensive to MTV as it is to me.
The show, which will be taped at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, will feature live performances from EMINEM and MARIAH
