Hollywood actor Jerry O'connell promises his spin-off show from hit series Crossing Jordan will be a homage to '80s favourite Miami Vice.

O'Connell's cop character WOODY HOYT has been sent off to Southern California, where he gets embroiled in a case that teams him with a detective played by actor Leon.

Of the new show, called SUNSET DIVISION, O'Connell says, "We are really like CROCKETT and TUBBS, except Leon's hair looks much better than PHILIP MICHAEL THOMAS'."
