Osbourne's Close Call With Death
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne "died" twice following his horrific quad-bike crash last month (08DEC03).
The star of the hit show THE OSBOURNES - speaking in his first full interview since the accident - has revealed he was in a coma for eight days and almost lost his left arm due to his injuries suffered in the incident at his Buckinghamshire, England, mansion.
Osbourne, 55, says, "I have lost at least 11 days of my life. It seems like one big nightmare.
"I'll never go near one of those damn bikes again. I've finally grown up.
"The bloody thing nearly killed me. I am lucky to be here today and not paralysed."
The former Black Sabbath frontman can not remember anything about the accident but has been told that he tumbled down a hill with the bike landing on top of him, crushing his chest.
It was Osbourne's bodyguard SAM RUSTON who saved the singer's life after giving him the kiss-of-life twice after he stopped breathing immediately following the accident.
Osbourne explains, "If it wasn't for Sam I probably wouldn't be here. He was brilliant. The doctors tell me every day it could have been a lot worse. I could be dead."05/01/2004 18:26
