N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams has vowed to stay away from drugs and alcohol for the rest of his life - because he can't handle mind-altering substances.

The Virginia native, 30, admits he's a lightweight when it comes to liquor and narcotics, so he stays away from both.

He tells BLENDER magazine, "I've never smoked weed. I've had weed brownies about four times. One time I had six. I was hallucinating - a f***ing mouse was talking to me!

"I'm just not a drug dude. It's cool for two minutes, and then I'm like, 'Okay, turn it off.' And it doesn't go off.

"I get a headache as soon as I start drinking. I used to have, like, one KAHLUA and be drunk as a bitch, dancing on the table, talking s***."
