Posthumous Release For Starr
Late soul sensation Edwin Starr is set for a chart comeback - his 1970 hit song WAR is due to be re-released.
Starr - who died of a heart attack aged 61 this week - had made a new version of the track with dance outfit THE Utah Saints for a compilation. But now his agent has confirmed it will be released as a single.
The song, which declares, "War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing," was made as a protest against late 1960s riots in Los Angeles and Chicago, rather than international conflict.
