Proof Murder Suspect Did 'Nothing Wrong'
LATEST: The lawyer of D-12 rapper PROOF's murder suspect has insisted his client did "nothing wrong". Bouncer MARIO ETHERIDGE, who was working at the city's CCC nightclub when the shooting took place, turned himself in to Detroit, Michigan police yesterday (12APR06) afternoon. But his attorney RANDALL UPSHAW is certain his client will be vindicated. Upshaw says, "(Etheridge) has done nothing wrong and I'm confident the facts will come out." He also reveals his client is cousins with second gunshot victim KEITH BENDER, currently on life support in hospital suffering brain damage. Sources claim Proof opened fire on Bender in the club after a heated argument, MTV.com reports. Upshaw alleges the bouncer was unarmed at the time and has called for the investigation to centre on Eminem's best man rather than Etheridge.
