Publicity Shy Moore
Controversial filmmaker Michael Moore may be the toast of the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, but his new PR company are already fuming over his reluctance to do interviews.
Moore's anti-American President George W Bush documentary FAHRENHEIT 9/11 won the prestigious PALME D'OR award at the French bash on Saturday (22MAY04), but the director is refusing to undergo what he sees as endless publicity to promote the film.
An employee at PR agency DDA tells London newspaper the EVENING STANDARD, "It's a nightmare. Every journalist in Cannes was desperate to speak to Moore, but getting him to do any publicity whatsoever for his film is an ordeal."
Moore recently parted ways with London based publicity firm McDONALD + RUTTER, before DDA stepped in to represent him.24/05/2004 21:13
