Queens Of The Stone Age Finally Play London
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE finally performed on a London stage in 2005 last night (22AUG05) - after a series of failed attempts.
The LULLABIES TO PARALYSE hitmakers were forced to postpone London dates in March when frontman JOSH HOMME fell ill, and the two rescheduled dates were thwarted by terrorist bombings on 7 July.
But the American rockers delighting fans at the Brixton Academy last night with an extended set comprising both recent hits and obscure album tracks.
NO ONE KNOWS singer Homme said to the audience, "Anyone who had a ticket carried over, we're sending you a bottle to your house."
QOTSA will perform a second show at the venue tonight (23AUG05).
