The rockers of Radiohead greeted their third consecutive honour at Britain's Q MAGAZINE AWARDS in a bizarre manner last week (ends03OCT03) - by sending in a silent videotape as a protest.

The THERE THERE musicians were named the best band in the world for the third consecutive year by readers of Q magazine on Thursday evening (02OCT03).

But rather than celebrate the nod, members of the group refused to attend the London awards ceremony and sent a silent video in their place. The video showed the words 'Radiohead are not talking to Q' across the bottom of the screen, in response to the publication's review of the group, labelling its bandmembers "miserable".
