German hard rockers Rammstein are set to shock fans with their new album - it features a collaboration with Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri and is influenced by Coldplay.

The band are excited about the LP, which also includes a Mexican mariachi band, because they believe it's important to experiment and be individual.

Frontman TILL LINDEMANN says, "Mexican trumpet just seemed like a good idea. On (our last album) REISE, REISE we had a country moment and the reaction was so positive we were encouraged to go on experimenting and try more unusual stuff.

"We draw inspiration from whatever catches our ears. If you step in other people's footsteps you won't leave a trace."

Bandmate Christoph Schneider adds, "I've been listening to Coldplay these days for example."
