Rascal Flatts Take Their Gang To Number One
Rascal Flatts have joined the country superstars after charging to the top of the US album charts with one of the biggest hits of 2006 so far. The trio's Me + MY GANG album sold 722,000 copies in its opening week to become the biggest debut week for a country act since Tim Mcgraw's LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYING shifted 766,000 copies in September 2004. The album is the trio's second consecutive Billboard 100 number one. The latest NOW, THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! compilation crashes into the new chart at number two, while Pink's fourth album I'M NOT DEAD debuts at number six. Other top debuts include rapper Bubba Sparxxx's THE CHARM, which enters the new chart at number nine, and THE Flaming Lips, who score their biggest debut at 11 with At War With The Mystics.
