Redford Blasts Bush's Energy Bill
Concerned Hollywood star Robert Redford has attacked the American government's energy legislation, calling it one of the worst bills he's ever seen.
The longtime conservationist, 66, says the bill - put in place by US president George W Bush's administration - was flawed from the start.
He blasts, "It's one of the greatest disgraces in my time. It's a bad bill, it's a horrible bill.
"I think the American people are being really ill served right now and I think nowhere is it more disgraceful than in how the environment is being treated."
Redford believes the legislation places too much dependence on fossil fuels and not enough stress on alternative energy sources and conservation measures.09/12/2003 09:26
