Redford Helps Napa Valley Plight
Veteran star Robert Redford has joined an advisory board aimed at protecting the famous vineyards of the Napa Valley region of California.
The INDECENT PROPOSAL actor - who owns a property in Calistoga - was a guest speaker at the LAND TRUST OF NAPA COUNTY's fundraising dinner last year (04), and helped raise more than $200,000 (GBP105,200).
Executive director JOHN HOFFNAGLE is convinced the Napa Valley area will benefit from Redford's involvement with the committee, because he's famous and has "outside contacts".
The non-profit group claims to protect around 33,000 acres (13,000 hectares) through easements, property transfers and donations.04/01/2005 08:59
