Latino hip-hop reggae trend reggaeton is proving so popular in Los Angeles one station is devoting its playlist to the music of Ozomatli, DADDY YANKEE, Ivy Queen, Pitbull and other stars of the genre.

Spanish-language station KXOL-FM is cashing in on the craze for the new music craze, which originated in Puerto Rico and Panama, by playing reggaeton hits 24 hours a day.

The new music has become so big in South America, the Latin Grammy Awards announced a new category for the genre and UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP has launched the first multinational-owned record label dedicated entirely to the musical phenomenon.
