Russell Rules Out Cult Sequels
Veteran actor Kurt Russell has ruled out making sequels to his 1980s movies, because he'd rather leave their cult legacy untarnished. Russell, who did make a 1996 follow-up, ESCAPE FROM LA, to 1981's Escape from New York, has no interest in revisiting other fan favourites including Big Trouble in Little China and Tango + CASH. He says, "These cult movies grow in stature over the years. But the truth is as you get older you leave those behind. "Hopefully you come up with something new and fresh."
