LATEST: Rapper Snoop Dogg's bid to keep imprisoned murderer STANLEY WILLIAMS alive seems to have paid off - California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has agreed to meet with the incarcerated gang boss' legal team.

The hip-hop star asked for clemency in his pal's death sentence when he joined a rally outside San Quentin Prison, California - and performed a song he'd written to pay tribute to Williams.

And Schwarzenegger, who has yet to overturn any death sentences in his term as Governor, has agreed to consider giving the jailed former Crips gang leader the Christmas (05) gift of life.

Williams is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on 13 December (05).

Schwarzenegger's press secretary MARGITA THOMPSON says, "The Governor reviewed the material in the case this week and he decided the best route is a private clemency hearing, so he can hear directly from counsel."

To GeorgeWNixonI bet you cheered when Saigon fell, didn't you, you mindless leftwing nut job. Thanks in no small part to left wing nuts like yourself and the left dominated media, we did lose in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh himself stated that if it wasn't for the media in the US that they wouldn't have had a chance. You probably cheered when the purges began after we left; and the approximately 2 million people were subsequently slaughtered; but hey anything that seems to prove your ideology correct is great, right? Who cares if it's bad for the country. I'm sure you secretely cheer every time a bad news report comes in from Iraq too. Who cares if it will be a disaster for this country if we lose the war; as long as it gets someone who agrees with your ideology in power it's for the greater good, right?

To Bushbot Pub:A recent poll taken in Iraq showed that 80% of Iraqi's want us out of there and 45% of Iraqi's approve of attacks on out troops to drive us out. You must have spent all of your time in the Kurdish north. And please don't try to give me the Iraq/American big city, analogy spiel. I have as yet to see ANY American city attack it's police and Guardsman on a daily basis with IED's and suicide bombers. If that kind of crap was happening in the states, they'd call it anarchy. The only question you should be concerned with is that when we leave Iraq, will it fall faster then Saigon.

Bush is the worst President in history? Is that really fact or is that your crazed partisan opinion?Let me guess, your comment refelcts your beliefs on the illigetimacy of the war in Iraq and that it is somehow really a facade to steal the Iraqi's oil. That may be your opinion (and I am guessing because you only provided a statement with no supporting facts), and you are entitled to your opinion; however, if it is the war in Iraq that drives your beliefs then perhaps it is time to re-evaluate your rationalization process. The war in Iraq is about Terrorism orchastrated by Islamo-Facists. It is a global issue and one that requires a swift response.Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan; all are governments that supported and facilitated global terrorism.Iran and Syria were on about the same level of Iraq on these issues. Iraq was however, the weaker target. Weakened by 10+ years of UN Sanctions, and the internation community was already ticked off at Saddam and Co. due to a decade of non-compliance with a myariad of UN resolutions. We picked Iraq, and it was the right choice. The effects are being heralded across the Middle East. Syria has disavowed it's WMD programs and stopped supporting terrorism, Iraq has had 2 successful free election with many communities reporting close to 90% voter turn-out, Pakistan is mulling decocracy and Pervez Musharraf has toned his rhetoric down to a very dull roar. Most importantly, there have been no attacks on US citizens outside of Iraq and Afghanistan since this campaign begun. What would have been your solution to stop global terrorism and prevent future 9/11-esque attacks? On the domestic front, Home ownership and college admissions are at record levels. I am certainly no Bush fan, but your statement is inheritly false. You want to find the worst president, try looking at Hoover. Perhaps you should get a grasp on what makes the world work before you go making statements that have no basis in anything except partisan rhetoric spread by the liberal news media and hollywood actors that have no understanding of world politics or issues.

The Iraqi's hate us? Really, is that a first hand observation? I have been to Iraq, and while there is a percentage of Iraqi's that do 'hate' us, the vast majority do not hold that sentiment. Most of Iraq is very safe and secure, as safe and secure as many places here in America. There are only a little more than a few places were it is really unsafe. Is that how you categorize a civil war? As far as Egypt and the rest of Islamo-land goes, wait 10 years and then talk to me. It has to be a global effort, or terrorism will always reign. We are doing the right thing, but you still have not respondeed to what your plan is to rid the world of the scourge of terrorism.

I became a bit side-tracked and got off-topic.It is a possibility that this guy could actually do some good in the world and offer himself a bit of redemption. It is a hard choice, he was found guilty of his crimes and he is responsable for the gang violence that is plaguing this country, the effects of which are thousands of innocent dead, whom were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and became caught in the corss-fire, or were beaten, raped or robbed by the gang mamber that this guy indoctrinated to the gang lifestyle.

To Bush Suck Me Suzy Doll: Ben HARPERBen, take Bush's penis out of your mouth long enough to realize that YOU my friend are in the minority. Only 33% of Americans have faith in the little reprobate and it appears that you are one of them. You must be one of those born again types who's raped and pillaged and now thinks he can absolve his sins by buying a bible and going to Sunday school. It appears that only born again types who have no real vested interest in the health of this country, slavishly back Bush and would do so even if he was the molester of furry animals. Well mr. Bushbot, you're time is up and so is that of the crackhead alcoholic YOU call president. The reason that I write about bush's stupid ass anyway is because I know that matt drudge led you here, and I want to add to the misery that you and every other republican is feeling these days.

I find it truly amazing that anti-Bush maggots can find a connection between Tookie Williams clemency, the current subject for discussion, and their vicious, almost obsessive attitudes toward the President. These same idiots probably insert the hate-filled rhetoric into any discussion. Stupidity has no limits, I suppose. As for the murderer Williams, he should die. This animal founded one of the worst gangs in American history, and murdered four persons. No matter what he has done since, he killed four people and deserves to pay with his life. I see that the anti-death penalty fools are out in force, which only reinforces my belief that he should pay with his life for the despicable crimes he committed.

GEORGEWNIXON , you are one sick puppy or is it rabid dog? Your fury and anger are exemplary of a whack-job vis-a-vis liberal Dem, who is incapable of presenting a cogent argument. Somehow , I sense you hate who you are: vulgar , shallow and for all intents , stupid. Why did I add "stupid"? You cite totally UNPROVEN allegations regarding the President as if they are truths! What are your sources ? Air America? Mary Mapes-types? Or an already disproven publication alleging the drug stuff? Any honorable or reasoned person would avoid such misrepresentations (lies). Have a nice heart attack thanks to GWB: he really has your adrenalin pumping!

This man has been convicted of murdering four innocent civilians. The Constitution has given him the right to appeal his case to the highest court in this nation. Nothing has changed, he is still a convicted murderer who has been sentenced to die by lethal injection. Letting him live only shows other hoodlums like him that they too can get away with murder. He made the decision to kill those people. Now he needs to deal with the consequences and take his medicine like a man. Hopefully he has made his peace with God.
