Pop sensations Scissor Sisters have lined-up a collaboration with one of their musical heroes - 1980s pop icons Erasure.

Frontman Jake Shears will duet with singer Andy Bell on Erasure's new album MANHATTAN CLIQUE.

Bell explains how the two openly gay stars came to meet, "I am good friends with Dj Sammy and he was on tour with the Scissor Sisters and he invited us to come to watch a show.

"They dedicated one song that night to Erasure, which I thought was really sweet.

"Jake introduced the song by saying that he saw us live when he was 12-years-old.

"I emailed him later to see if he would be into a duet and he loved the idea."
