Seabiscuit co-stars Elizabeth Banks and Jeff Bridges ended up black and blue in one scene in the film - because they got carried away with their fake celebrating.

The couple play husband and wife in the acclaimed horse racing film, and never imagined their roles would call for medical attention - until their fake race joy in one scene turned nasty.

Banks explains, "We had to pretend we were celebrating our horse's victory and we really got into it.

"We were flailing our arms around and he ended up with a black eye and I ended up with a bloody nose."
