Spielberg Looking To The Future - Comments and Message Board

In regard to Spielberg's claim of new invention:A) He didn't say anything specific about it - so we don't know anything specific about it . B) Some bright person (I know this because he could spell) here suggested maybe it's something like a "projecto-sphere" - pure supposition - sounds neat but we have no idea if that's anything like what Spielberg has in mind . C) "Enta-scope"-guy: I'm sure your innovation is wonderful, in its way, but, again we have no specific idea what Spielberg's invention is so maybe it's a bit premature to say he stole yours . D) Bii_Meister: Let's say hypothetically, as a mind experiment, that you are sitting in a seat, on a raised platform, in the middle of some kind of "surround cine" - you are facing in the direction your chair faces - what if the 360 degree moving picture rotates so that the director and writer guide you through their vision by putting in front of you that which is the most important part of the scene . Bronson's comments are mostly not in regard to Steven Spielberg's claim of a new invention, or in fact, to Spielberg himself . Bronson's page and a half is mostly about Albert Einstein ... ? In fact only 8 or nine sentences, arguably can be said to be in regard to Spielberg in any way . Bronson's post is full of racist, xenophobic, provocative thoughts which he repeats over and over again: Jews are stupid; Jews are so cunning they can control the media, society, and our minds; Jews are liars - even God tells us so . Bronson has herein sought to promote three other web sites - no doubt chock-full of lovely thoughts - the first is the homepage of William M. Branham who is certain that he is God's "Seventh Messenger to the Seventh Church Age" (which is only for gentiles); the second is a white supremacist christian site (similar to a nazi peace activist ?); the third is a mind-numbing neo-nazi sight devoted to not only denying the holocaust, but blaming the evil Jews and such who made it all up out of thin air, for the stress caused by the idea . This site offers a contest in honor of Halloween for people to collect Holocaust Survivor Stories and send them in so everyone can laugh at how impossible they are - since it never happened, it's all a big joke . In short Bronson is: off topic, being provocative, racist, xenophobic and hateful, promoting web sites that are same, all of which are against the posting rules of this site .On top of all this, most of what he had to say about Einstein and relativity is just plain wrong . It seems Bronson himself may have plagiarized the work of other, more literate, twisted, white-supremacist, hate mongers, by either typing from a script of hate leaflets or by straight cut and paste . This might explain why someone who can't spell: ceiling, classical, video, genius, or seal in the couple paragraphs of intro and ending, (all Einstein in the middle) goes on to spell far more complex words correctly, and why his post goes from the rambling / raving language of the intro and ending, to a somewhat detailed, somewhat less raving, discussion of the history of mathematical and physical work toward the theory of relativity . Or in other words: Bronson has a lot of clasical ideals that maybe he could put into a vidio that he could show to all his genuous friends, and to seel the ideal, he could show it on the cieling . But not to any Jews .For actual information on Einstein, one could Google "Einstein" or "relativity" or both; or, go get a book at a library or book seller . He's a very famous, very well-known, public person who gave lots of interviews and left many writings, and taught at University - not some mysterious character who laid back in the shadows and was P.R.-massaged up into undeserved celebrity, all the while, drooling and shambling about with shoelaces trailing .Bronson, I don't know what's wrong with you, but, let the hatred go .

We dont know the idea spielberg is talking about yet...so how to judge it??the pure idea of sucking the audience in the middle of the scene isnt new for sure...but to invent an effective way of realising it in an affordable version..is a different thing. If he came up with a working system..cool! cant wait to experience it!! spielberg is a jew..so what? didnt he entertained ALL of us very well more than just twice (and not just because hes a jew)? i think after 30 years of succesful filmmaking he knows, when a concept feels right or not...he is a master of his art...more than any of us smartasses here probably ever could be. and why should it be confusing? imagine a movie like pulp-fiction, and you just stand or sit in the 3D-filmed scene..on the backseat, when they talk about le-big mac...or in the livingroom, when they set the adrenaline injection..etc...the director is preparing the scenes and cuts for the right dramaturgy...and if the story is well told, you automatically watch the hotspot of the scene (at least at the first time)..like in other genres..you have to work out new ways to reach the right balance...but didnt they had to do it in the beginning of films or interactive computergames as well?but we have to wait and see...james cameron spoke about similar mysterious inventions..that will change cinema for ever..(everybody went crazy and assumed he finally brings us holographic cinemas or whatever) and then he came up with the unsuccessful IMAXfeature "ghosts of the abyss"...wow..and maybe einstein and other jews stole their ideas and sold it effectively...but how many christians did exactly the same thing???humans are evil in general not just the jews...think before you waste words..

As all your evidence is on anti-semitic, your comment must be taken with a bucket of salt, never mind the pinch. Also just because you say that Einstein stole his ideas does not mean that Spielberg has.thing2k

"projecto-sphere"??? So the D-Day scene, the soldier gets blown up..... how do you know to turn to look at Tom Hanks? Without framed shots and cutting, how does the film maker guide you through their vision? Total Confusion.

This sounds like a "projecto-sphere", where the seating is on a raised platform and the movie is projected evenly upon the interior surface of the sphericly shaped theater. Think the D-Day scene in SPR, where you could look back at the landing craft, then to your right and see a G.I get blown up, then to your left and look into Tom Hanks face as he expesses the shear terror of war........ Total Immersion.

well they need to do something, the industry is sucking. maybe if they didn't preach to us on how to live and stop trying to be so socially pius, then people wouldn't be so turned off by hollywood. they preach to us to save energy and save fuel. however, i bet there jets and multi-million dollar homes use more energy in one month than mine does in a year.

If it was really 'patent pending', a complete and detailed description would already be on file with the US Patent & Trademark Office. Patent applications are public domain, so all those details would have been included in the story. Sounds like Spielberg BS to me.

that is so flipping stupid. i hate it when these hollywood people think that they know what makes a movie great. this is just as dumb as lucas filming everything digitally.
