Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, Eddie Vedder and a host of other stars on the VOTE FOR CHANGE TOUR have released a series of video statements explaining why they've joined the tour.

In the videos the musicians on the tour, which began on Friday (01OCT04) in Pennsylvania, will also state why they feel the need to speak out against US President George W Bush's administration.

Vedder says, "They went out of their way, I believe, to lie to the American people about Iraq and made us feel unsafe and that we had to do this when we really didn't."

"There was no imminent danger. Saddam Hussein didn't have anything to do with 9/11."

Springsteen adds, "If you mislead the country... you lose your job. It's not rocket science."
