Spurlock Takes Super Size Me To School
SUPER SIZE ME director MORGAN SPURLOCK is continuing his fight to ensure America's children eat healthily - by releasing a newly edited version of his hit documentary for schools.
Spurlock shot to fame last year (04) in Super Size Me, in which he guzzled McDONALD'S fast food for a month and had to deal with a resulting string of health problems.
And now the film-maker has re-edited the movie - which is nominated for a Best Documentary OSCAR - and added sequences in order to educate young Americans. The changes include incorporating a lesson plan and interviews with nutritionists.
Spurlock says, "We'll never make every parent a perfect parent. But we can make every school really close.
"We're educating kids in the classroom, but we're abandoning them in the lunchroom."14/02/2005 09:20
