Starr: 'Don't Campaign To Save My Birthplace'
The home in the Toxteth district of Liverpool, England, will be bulldozed as part of a massive regeneration project in the city.
But in a bid to appease protestors the local council offered to rebuild the building brick-by-brick so it can be preserved elsewhere.
However Starr, who only lived in the house for the first three months of his life, has no interest in saving the property because he can't remember staying there.
He says, "I don't see the sense in it. You are going to have to put a plaque saying ' Ringo Starr was born here'.
"Don't bother rebuilding my house brick-by-brick so you can still say I was born there."
