Stars Enter The Studio For Osbourne's Tsunami Song
LATEST: Pop stars SIR ELTON JOHN, PINK, ROD STEWART and actor ROBERT DOWNEY JR are teaming up in the studio today (20JAN05) to record SHARON OSBOURNE's tsunami charity single.
The eclectic group - who are collaborating to cover ERIC CLAPTON's tragic ode to his dead son TEARS IN HEAVEN - will also feature contributions from father and daughter OZZY and KELLY OSBOURNE, rock couple GWEN STEFANI and GAVIN ROSSDALE, AEROSMITH's STEVE TYLER, PHIL COLLINS, JOSH GROBAN and opera tenor ANDREA BOCELLI.
Rock band VELVET REVOLVER - comprising former GUNS N' ROSES stars SLASH, MATT SORUM and DUFF McKAGAN - are on board to provide the music for the song.
The track will be recorded today and tomorrow (21JAN05) at Whitfield Studios in London, with further recording taking place next week (begs23JAN05) in Los Angeles.
And rock matriarch Sharon has praised the efforts of the musicians who have given up their time to help alleviate the troubles facing the survivors of the 26 December (04) killer wave in the Indian Ocean region.
